A call to MINIUSA today revealed I went to status 155 yesterday (Jun 25).:D :D :D Where's my boat???

The days are dragging and my home PC has crashed. I'm typing this from my public library which allows me 45 minutes per day and will not allow access to MINIUSA website due to all the flash they run.:(

I just want to be driving my "S"...

My Lounge status just changed to "Awaiting Transport". Woo Hoo! Apparently, I got the xenons with the Sport Pack. The guy on the customer service line said the cars are transported by train to Germany(?), and then loaded on the ship? I hope they don't scratch it.

MINIs are loaded on a vessel in Southampton ... not Germany.

Sorry but I think you guys are waiting for mine. It just finished 155 and is waiting to move to 160.

My "S" will be sailing on the Traviata from Southampton in 6 July for a 9 day cruise across the pond. Arrival in New York (New Jersey actually) is July 15. If all goes well I'll be driving my "S" on or before Aug 1.

Anyone else on the Traviata? The first round is on me!!!:D :D :D

Iàm in the paint shop as of Friday. Dunno more. Dunno whatr the date of Friday is since I am on my honeymoon and can barely keep track of what week it is right now. But I am in the PAINT SHOP! Soon to be complete and on a boat I hope!!

My VIN ends in 54296...DK Silver, White top, Heated seats, Premium Package, Sport Package, Blue Leather, White stripes.

Currently "Awaiting Transport", do you have any idea how long it will take from this point to get to my dealer? (my dealer's close to the Distribution center)...I can't wait...

Jason, I would think you would be on the ship as well.

My 6/28 car was apparently finished mid-week, and is already headed for a port in California. Wow, did I luck out, or what? It seems like some cars are sitting at the dock for a week, waiting for their ship to come in.

Grrr, while my 6/21 production is still sitting on the dock even though its been there for days before the Tancred left. This makes no sense! Oh well, maybe I'll catch you at the VPC. :D

Oh thanks! That's a nice thought. I suspect there are just more cars than space available and that the system of loading is a bit last in, first out. I'm just guessing, but MINI's missing the boat seems to be fairly common. I know of at least one other 6/21 who had the same thing happen.

Not sure if I am or not. Finally got the web site for the shipping company open and found nothing for my VIN TD54286. Hmmm... May also be internet problems with the page not working a few times. Dont think this inet cafe has all cookies allowed.

MINI OL still says awaiting transport. Tried again at the WW web site here (http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking) and finally have an updated status. Looks like I missed the earlier boat.

Looks to me like it is still in port at Southampton, it sails on the 13th of July and arrives at the VPC on the 21st of July. Not a best case scenario but nothing I can do about it!

I just got off the phone with MINI and they told me that my Cooper S is on the Traviata and will be arriving on US shores on 7/15. However, the owner's lounge tells me that estimated delivery date is 7/24. I live right next to the port that it will arrive at. Will it really take 9 days to get to me???:confused:

Not likely. At this point you should stop believing the OL. At Don Rosen, they've had customer cars showing as at the VPC online show up for customer delivery.

OL still shows that our car isn't loaded yet, but in fact it's less than a week from it's expected arrival on the Takasago.

if I recall the timing right, it then takes ~1 week to get to the VPC, then ~1-2 weeks after that + a couple of days to the dealer.

is this about what to expect ?

we'll be flying in to get the car, but this should make planning that a bit easier.
