I don't know where people are getting the date. I suppose the dealer would have relatively current info if you called them. My original delivery date was listed as August 30 but I think my production date was moved up -- unless it takes seven weeks to get from the port of entry to the dealer.

yeah that is fast, especially considering that my production date was 6/14 and my MINI is still not here yet, not that Im complaining but it'd be kewl to get it already.

Almost...

The estimated delivery date is in the owner's lounge, under review order details, but it didn't show up there until my car was the VPC.

My silk green is a 6/21 build, it's on the Traviata which doesn't reach NYC until Monday, and I noticed today that my estimated delivery date is already listed. It's 7/24, nine days after the ship arrives. I'm up in Albany, about 3 hours north of NYC.

I suspect that you will see your MINI, sooner than that. I guess it all depends on how many cars come in on the ship. The AIDA only had around 110 of them.

Prepare to get your car sooner. The Traviata is in port and a dealer in PA is set to get one or more cars tomorrow and then a few days later the rest. So you may get your car this week...

How can you tell the Traviata is in port? Right now none of the cars are shown as being unloaded. I'll have to call my dealer and see if he can find out some more detailed info so I can get the money together.

The boat was scheduled to arrive today and the WW ships seem to be very timely. I'd expect it to be scheduled such that 1st and 2nd shifts unloaded the cargo but I suppose it could run into 3rd shift sometimes. In any case, the WW system usually lags by several hours or even a half-day or day.

My car was unloaded from the Falstaff on July 8 but that didn't register on the WW site until a few days later -- and then ALL of the car's that were unloaded had their status changed.

I called MINIUSA with a couple of questions. First, I wanted to know if my standard shift MINI (not S) would already have the linkage cable fixed or if I needed to make sure that got done. I was told that all cars being delivered will be checked, and if they are among the ones needing fix, it will be done either at the VPC or the dealers before it is handed over -- that's part of their OK list to check before sale. I then asked where my car was, and I was told it now shows that it has arrived in port and is scheduled to reach VPC later today, with release from VPC next Tuesday. We'll see if those dates hold.

My S and 21 others on the Falstaff were due into SC on the 11th. None show as unloaded and OL shows as En Route, but does show a expected delivery of 7/26. 15 days from offloading to dealer (FL) seems a bit long. Anyone else on the Falstaff to SC know any different?

So frustrating watching all you other 6/21ers get your cars while mine is still on board in port in Georgia I think and at I've got at least another 3 weeks to go, at least. Sigh. Oh well, hope the rest of you get yours soon. (really, I do :D )

Actaully Im an honorary :D 6/21er being as how my listed prod date was 6/14, but wasn't built until the following week and missed the Aida. Anyway I just checked the OL and to my delight found that my MINI is at the dealer! I guess that means its been there since at least yesterday. The sad fact is a)I haven't gotten a call from my dealer yet, b)insurance is pending some issues that have to be resolved at the earliest tommorrow c) I haven't gotten my loan check yet. I guess if the planets align themselves just so I may be able to pick it up tommorrow, but more likely Thursday. At least I'll have it for the weekend!!!

Hang in there Sejanus!

Hang in there Sejanus!

Thanks. I on the other hand have got the check, the insurance is lined up and I even have the time off to drive to the dealer when it comes in. Just need the car! Oh well, congrats. I'll look forward to reading your first post-ownership post.

Stopped by the dealer on the way home from work today ... spotted a car that fit my description ... checked the VIN and it was mine! A little dusty and still missing a few parts (antenna, hubs, etc.) but it looked great. Now I just have to get all my ducks in a row before they dealer calls me.

One question for you 6/21 folks: I ordered the car with white 5-stars and it came with silver. They both look good and I'd had second thoughts about white anyway (due to the brake dust issue). Should I stick with silver?

If it makes a difference, the car is a Chili Red MC with white top, black leatherette interior.

I saw a Chili Red with White Roof and Silver wheels today in Seattle. I like the white wheels better with that combination. But I may be biased :D :D :D

I have a Chili Red MCS with a white roof and 17 inch all seasons. I picked the White wheels also because I thought it would look super cool matching the mirrors and roof. I too am concerned about the brake dust issue and also the fact that we live in an area with dirty slushy snow at least 3 months a year, but despite that I really think the white adds even more character to the vehicle (and character was certainly a selling point for me) even if that means a little more maintenance than usual. Hope that helps.

Oh, and sejanus, Im looking forward to the post ownership post too! (and yours also) :)

For whatever my opinion is worth MiniMRK I'm also getting a Red/White Cooper and I will be royally ticked off if it has silver instead of white wheels. I love the contrasting look of the white roof/mirror caps/wheels with the red body.

My 6/21 S is also still sitting at the port in SC. As of yesterday it has not been even sent to the VPC yet. Then my dealer tells me that they put it on a SHIP to Fort Lauderdale. Sure seems a truck would be much faster. They tell me expected delivery is 7/26. Man this is killing me.

I've seen it, I've tounched, I've even taken photos of it ... but no word from the dealer. I've called a few times but nobody's given me the final word. Very frustrating ... I was hoping to have it this weekend.

So what did you decide to do about the wheels?

I think I'm going with the white but I haven't heard anything from the dealer about how they're going to handle the situation. Hold on ... just got a call ...
