Since there's already a thread for 6/28 Production, how about one for us with a 6/21 date....since a few of us have gotten in on the 6/28 one already.
My S was supposed to go to 151 on either 6/17 or 6/18. My VIN ends in 53860.
Casey, I believe I read in a post that you have a 6/21 PD and are also purchasing your's from Patrick MINI. Perhaps our babies will keep each other company on their long journey to the Midwest.
I have decided that I won't call MINI for an update for at least a week. With this thread maybe I can find out what's going on with other 6/21 Production vehicles because I know there's enough of you out there who will be calling every day or two to check what stage yours is at.

Im a 6/14 production date, I fear that things may be slow for a few reasons. When I called last friday (my production date) they said my car was still in the paint shop after 2 days! So who knows? My theory is that there are a bunch of ****ed brits not really concentrating on their job and slowing down production because of the jubilee and world cup ;) And lo and behold, by the time our MINIs get here, it will be a long fourth of july weekend! Alas more delays!!!

Ill call just to make sure my car is ready today and update.

I've already posted this elsewhere, but as of yesterday my Cooper CVT with a production date of 6/21 is status 152, paint shop.

I am also scheduled for 6/21. I emailed MINIUSA last Friday and was told that as of 6/7 I was listed as 150. I assume since the production dates are always a Friday, that a car will be done sometime during that week. I taking delivery via Ft Lauderdale MINI. VIN is 53564

Just an update...

Im at status of 160 today. 2 business days after production day. Im not sure how that affects every one else but hopefully that means nothing compared to the 6/21 cars.

Oh well good luck and hope the holidays dont interfere too much with delivery!

As I just posted on another thread, I'm a 6/21 build S, been loitering in status 150 since 6/10, still there today, VIN 53817...

Here's hoping all our cars roll off the line before the England v. Brazil game!

My production date is 6/21, but was status 155 on 6/14 and as of yesterday was still waiting at the factory. I wonder why there is such a difference in actual build time.

Same here. In fact she said the car was assembled, just not yet cleared to go to status 160. In other words I would think it must be at quality control. This is totally cool since yesterday I was told it was in the paint shop.

Minimrk, I may see you on the road, I ordered my MINI through Keeler Motor Cars in Albany, NY and will be driving it home to Seattle, and may swing through Milwakee to catch a Brewers game. :D

Bulldog1,
My car was also scheduled for 6/14 production but
it was finished ahead of time. Seems odd your car
was being painted?!

Miniusa's owner's lounge says it is "awaiting transport".
The WW tracking page says the car was loaded on the"Carmen" on 6/13.
I assume the Carmen is at sea & miniusa is just
not current.

What phone # do you call for Miniusa? I would like
to double-check my car's status with a real live person.

kb_solo2, will you be tailgating with your Mini? That sounds like a lot of fun.

Checked the MiniUSA site last night and my status was upgraded to "Awaiting Transport." Checked the cargo status and it's scheduled to sail on the Aida 6/22 arriving in NY on 7/3. That's much faster then I expected! Birthday is 7/8 ... think it'll make it?

minirosa,

Weird because I saw the carmen was leaving on the 13th and hoping it would sneak in there but alas I have to wait for the Aida where it is currently booked on, MINIMRK, our MINIs will be neighbors! haha

BTW GO Brewers!!! (originally from Milwaukee)

Hey, Bulldog1, maybe I'll see you around Chicago sometime. My sister and brother-in-law live in Evanston, so I get down there occasionally. I'd love to take in a Brewers/Cubs game at Wrigley one of these days.

Let's hope the wind is at the Aida's back!

I'm still status 155 :(

If the timing works out, I will be tailgating(?) with the MINI. Go Brewers (Seattle Pilots fan)

I take it by the (?) that your in need of a definition ... Tailgating is when you grill out in the parking lot with a bunch of your pals before a game. You usually gather your beach chairs around the back of the car with the food & beer (hence the "tailgating"). It's great fun but a word of warning to new car owners: all of that cooking puts a lot of soot and stuff in the air -- you might have to wash your baby after you leave.

Thanks Sejanus,

I actually happened upon the # this morning.

The nice lady at miniusa said my car is indeed
on the Carmen en route to America.
It is due in Port Hueneme July 8th. She said
it typically takes a week to go thru the VPC.

So, hopefully I will have the car around July 17th?

Quess I will just kill the time buying wax,a car cover
& following the World Cup.

Do you think England can take Brazil?

I'm envious, mine is built, but seems to be having cold feet (wheels?) about leaving the factory.

Seems to me I saw a post on another thread with the word England in excessively large sized letters indicating so. :D I mean, heck in this World Cup anything can happen.

They used to do slalom races in the parking lot at Miller Park ... I would imagine that a Mini would do quite well. That would REALLY turn some heads!

Gary,
What kind of wax? Oh jeeeeeez! I don't know; have you seen
the thread on wax in the maintenance forum?

Probably Mother's or Griot's. The Brits say Autogylm(sp?)
is THE STUFF.

Please let me know if you have a recommendation.

Hey; Where is the thread for the meet your were proposing
next May in Memphis? I lost track of it.

There's another post floating around on some thread somewhere that says VINs ending with 11### are CVTs. Seems right since my 6/21 production CVT also has an 11### VIN.

I just kind of threw out that idea on a lark, but if people are seriously interested maybe we can do something like a MINI meet/Brewer game tailgate party. Thats the impression Im getting from the responses on this thread. Im assuming the majority of us do not have our MINIs yet, so when would be a good time to make sure that we get ours. Is August or July a good idea? Will other people outside the midwest happen to be around? Just throwing out timeframes. Also perhaps this needs to go on as its own thread.

Just ideas... Im not really good at organizing so Im not looking to make this into a club thing (at least for now) just something laid back and fun. If there is more positive responses then mabybe well go for it. What are your thoughts?
