I have no automatic AC, only manual AC, so I dont understand why it depends on the temp outside.. Here when I test drive a Cooper with the standard AC I notice that it is "noisy" too.That is why I am "forced" to order the optional AC which is more quiet. I have the manual aircon - however it just started to get noisy recently ( I had the car since September) - it sounds like an electric motor... Before June this year it was very quiet... May it be the compressor is worn out ? :eek: try twiddling the air direction controls to see if the sound alieviates. It may be the air flow flaps in the HVAC. I could think of loads and loads of possible reasons for this so if the above doesn't work you'll need to see your dealer. We could speculate all night on this one but first hand contact with the car by an engineer is likely to be the only solution. If the noise is from under the bonnet then don't use it (aircon) at all and see your dealer also. | ||
