Question:
The MINI I'm going to buy needed a new battery, so the dealer replaced it.
So when I went to test drive it today the service engine light is on, and I was wondering if it would be because of that?
It's an 04 with just under 10k on the clock, so it still has the warranty I've been told on here, right?
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Is the light on when you turn the ignition or all the time when you're driving?

just call the service department and ask? Seems like the most logical move. Really tough to do a true diagnostic from any place other than where the car is located. And if someone does guess right you still have to bring it in to get corrected. Luck. :red:

It's on all the time.
Yeah, I agree with you fred, I'm calling today. Just figured I'd ask here and see what I could find out out.
It's really exciting to be getting my first MINI.
I'm constantly pouring over the forums soaking up all the knowledge I can.
Thanks.
