I live in Sydney Australia but used to live in Marshaltown Iowa when I was a kid for two years. One year in 88 and one in 90. I loved it there but unfortunatly haven't been back. I was wondering if anyone around here was from the area.

Oh, yes, there are a few of us here from Iowa. I have been here since the beginning and others find the site as they get into the 'MINI' mindset. I get thru Marshalltown once in a while as my oldest daughter is finishing her degree in Ames. You ended up a long ways round the globe.

I ended up in Marshaltown (twice) courtesy of my old man's company buying right a Tama (I think I spelt it right) slaughter house. I have been to Ames a few times, great schnitzel there!

I loved my time in Iowa and have dreamed of coming back but missed the opportunities. I am planning to go to the Montreal and Indy (if still on) GP's next year and make make a by pass if I can!

I live in Grinnell, just down Hwy 14 from Marshalltown. I get up there often.

I live in Marshalltown. Unless I'm in Ames, I don't really see many MINI's here in Iowa.

I wouldn't think ther would be too many MINI's in Iowa,

Frylock, did you grow up in Marshaltown? I went to school @ JC Hoglan and Miller Middle School?
