Does anyone know what the other shipping lines are that MINI uses? I checked with MINIUSA yesterday and my mini was on a shipt that departed on the July 8th and the WW site doesn't show it as cargo. According to MINIUSA, they use other shipping lines also and I'd like to see if I can find it and track it to the west coast. thx, dan

I found out recently that NYK is also used for the west coast. I'm currently on the NYK Bujin, somewhere out at sea, last seen in Baltimore. I spent many days constantly checking WW for my VIN before I found this out. Your MA should be able to get you the Bill of Lading and which ship, if you're already out to sea. If you are on an NYK ship, there is very little tracking of individual cargo (i.e., no tracking at all that I have found).

I've heard tell of "K" Line being used, too, but not seen anything beyond that.

Call your MA, they'll have that last little bit of info you are seeking.

I ordered my HB/W MC on August 23.
Everything went according to schedule. I found my ship - "Franconia" which is a K-Line vessel.
It should have arrived today, Sept 13. Here is the problem the port is ...Charleston, South Carolina. Hurricane/Tropical Storm Ophelia has been a threat to that area for the past week! So, last I heard the ship will be docking on September 15th. From there :Angus" will travel by train to Chicago.

Heatherazz - How do you know that your MINI is on the Franconia? There is a K-line ship that left Southampton on the 12th of September, which is the same day that my MINI stopped listing on the WW website. So I'm wondering if it got put on a K-line ship as well.

I had originally heard that your dealer may have more information for you once it is actually "in transit" Not sure if they actually have a copy of the shipping invoice or not, but it may be worth it to call and ask. Apparently Mini has been changing their shipping carriers for the west coast.

My dealer wasn't as specific as I would have liked so at the suggestion of another MINI owner I called ASK MINI customer service, gave my VIN and asked about the shipping line. They are more than happy to give you information.
