..I'm hoping to get him back tomorrow or Monday...anyway my question is this..Most ppls I have spoken to have said..."It'll never feel like the same car etc etc"......my question..Why won't it??????......personally I can't wait to get him back and if he does come back with any rattles etc he will be sent straight back to be sorted.

When I had my last MCS, I had a slight accident, which resulted in suspension work and panel work.
It felt great when I got it back and never did I get that feeling, not like other cars I have had to have work done on. The MINI does go back together very well, so I think you should be happy Tracie:)

Ooh glad Manny is at last coming home Tracie!!!
Give him a good old run on his return. I bet he has missed you nearly as much as you have missed him :D

The feeling that the car is not the same is purely psychological.
If the work is done by a MINI specialist Manny should be as good as new :D

If work is poorly carried out, for example re-alignment not done correctly then differences maybe felt in handling.
Manny didn't appear to suffer a 'massive impact' so his alignment, though probably checked, may be ok. I know it prob. felf massive, but what I mean is an impact that almost, but not quite writes a car off, like totally crunched.
Any issues, go straight back to the dealer, I'm sure, being BMW it will be ok. What I would do though is keep an eye on tyre wear, if you get inside/outside tyre wear, or uneven at the front (or back) then the wheel alighnment may need adjustment. Again, should be ok, but sometimes the gauges they use are slightly out and you can get a car that feels ok, but is actually mis-adjusted so you get incresed tyre wear. That happened on my old car, the muppets at the tyre place got the alignment wrong and screwed a pair of tyres, however, as it was wrong by the same amount on both sides (ie. still symetrical) it actaually felt ok.

I'm sure Manny will look great Tracie :). Last November I had to have my MINI's bonnet re-sprayed. The first attempt wasn't great...the paint just didn't look quite right, so being a perfectionist (read 'obsessive' :o) I took the car back and the second go was great  :D. Just be sure to check everything and raise any concerns with the repair centre. Good luck Tracie :)

a pain...for the most part odd feelings are in your head...however i've had bikes that needed suspension fixes even after they were supposed to be fixed, so there is no discounting the possibility of having some issues...and then there's the paint issue and the problems of reassembly.
I think if it looks he biz then you shouldnt have anything to worry about, but if it looks untidy and feels "wrong" then it maybe worth persuing it.
Are Woods doing it?
