Mine took a little while to update when my ship was leaving port so you probably shouldn't worry too much. Check again tomorrow.

Hate to tell ya thisMCoopS21, I'm in the same boat, or should it be not in the same boat. My LILRED missed the boat too. this will be the third boat that I'm booked on. at least the wait will only be one day longer. The Freedom in sceduled to hit NY on the 4th, where the Honer was to hit NY on the 3rd. :(

Mine was supposed to be on Patriot, arriving 10/28. Initially, WW's site showed status as Received and booked, but then it just dissapeared from the WW's system. The common opinion here was that there were no other companies that ship to East coast, but apparently it's not correct. After dissapering from WW's system, out SolarRed copper landed in US on the 22nd (a week ahead of time). So we are picking it up this weekend. It will be the first SolarRed in Atlanta. :)

My S got bumped to the Freedom too. No big deal, it should be in port a day later than if it was on the Honor.

There's a gale warning (remnants of hurricane Wilma) on for this afternoon on the Halifax approaches. The webcams all show a fairly dreary day. Hopefully the Undine and the Madame Butterfly make it into port before the storm breaks...

Pretty good webcam here:

Hey gang! I got a call from my Dealer today and the car's here. I'm picking it up on Friday at 3:30pm ET. I can't wait. I did have a little bomb dropped on me. Since I order the MCS, they come standard with RunFlatTires. They tried to convince me to purchase their RunFlatTire Policy for 500 bucks, 5 years. The Policy would cover the tire and the rim. Apparently the tire is expensive to replace, (400 bucks). I didn't get it cause I figure is something happens, I'll rerplace the tire with a "regular" tire.

I can't wait to get my CAR!

First of all, congrats! Make sure to bring a digital camera to the the dealer so you can post pics on this thread.

Secondly, I would recommend against any type of extra insurance policy offered by the dealer, especially that run-flat BS. Trust me, you will want to get rid of those run-flats as soon as you wear them out -- they are much too heavy and expensive, and offer poor road feel and grip to boot. Instead of relying on run-flats, carry a cell phone and one of those "slime" kits with the mini air compressor so you can fix most punctures.

Thanks Michabones. I didn't know that these tires are going to "slow" me down. :-) I'll make sure to post pics.

I just checked the 2w site and it shows that the Madame Butterfly has been delayed to the 27th - maybe just early in the morning? I didn't look for the Undine, but presumably, it's in the same boat (forgive the pun)...

Probably at anchor for the night. Could be riding out a gale, or maybe AutoPort (the VPC) couldn't accomodate her for whatever reason.

Edit: Interestingly enough that same WW page that now shows Madame Butterfly as arriving on the 27th shows the Undine as having been to Halifax already (marked in red). Cargo tracking doesn't show any "unloaded" status for my MINI though.

Our MA tells us our MINI is due to "arrive" (in port? at the VDC?) around the 7th or 8th of November, then another 10 days or so to get to the dealership, then 3-4 days for them to install bits we've ordered and prep for pickup. As far as I've heard, the ships arriving in Port Hueneme are due in on the 6th, and on the 11th.
Ah well, it won't be long now, whichever ship it's on!

My car is on the Madame Butterfly, too. I suspect that the delay is caused by the fact that there are only so many docks where the ship can unload the cars, and there is probably another ship sitting in it already, with maybe another one in line.

I can't wait to get my CAR!Congratulations. I just got the call today also. Mine will be ready friday but I will be picking mine up saturday afternoon.

Runflats are expensive, just not that expensive. You can get them from Tire Rack for a fraction of what the dealer wants, currently $149 each, plus mounting and balancing. For what they are asking for one runflat tire or the RFTP you could easily buy 4 new non-runflats.

Think back, for as long as you have been driving how many flats have you had to change? How long ago was the last one? Personally, I haven't changed a flat tire in over 10 years and 210,000 miles (knocks on wood). Don't let them bully you into signing anything like that RunFlatTirePolicy, it is a rip off, IMHO.

So provided my S makes the Freedom it should bein port on the 4th. Anyone know what the port to dealer time is? I live about an hour and a half from the VPC so travel time won't be much of a problem. From the looks of it, it seems to be about 7-10 days from port to dealer. Anyone have a different experience?

My LILRED shows loaded on vessel. I guess third times the charm.

thats about what I have heard too, about a week from VPC to dealer. sold cars get put to the front of the line, so they go quicker then the rest.

Thanks Bilbo. I did take a lot into consideration and part of that was how many flat tires have I had. Don't want to jinx myself so I'll just leave it at that.

Congrats on getting your MINI. Don't forget to post pics and I guess this means we'll be motoring this weekend. The weather in Tpa this weekend should be in the mid 70's. PERFECT sunroof weather. ;-)

FYI to everyone else checking the Owners Lounge. I'm picking up Jack on Friday but the website just reported yesterday that he's at the VPC. Best to call your MA to get a more accurate status.

Good luck everyone!

Good news - the Madame Butterfly is in port (according to www.aislive.com) and was earlier this morning. So cars are probably being unleaded as we speak (as we type?) and moved over to the trainyard area for shipping... I'm now hunting on cn's website for any clue on schedules... ;)
