Still no mention on the Undine. Her status on 2W still shows as having already sailed from Halifax. I saw her leave NY on the 24th. I wonder if maybe she arrived in Halifax early and set sail immediately afterwards...

She's well south of Halifax, around the same latitude as Boston. I hope she already unloaded her precious cargo...

Good news - the Madame Butterfly is in port (according to www.aislive.com) and was earlier this morning. So cars are probably being unleaded as we speak (as we type?) and moved over to the trainyard area for shipping... I'm now hunting on cn's website for any clue on schedules... ;)

That's great news, thanks for the info!!! :D I have searched through CN's website but I couldn't find anything useful. Let me know if you find something though.

Found the Freedom on AISLive.com. Sitting in Southhampton right now :D

Yesterday I received word from the dealer that my MCS is scheduled to arrive at port in California on Nov. 5 -- so you USA West Coasters could be seeing your Minis within two weeks! Probably thrid week in Nov. for me given shipping time to Colorado...

Madame Butterfly has left the pier, and no sooner had she been tugged away from the docks, the Undine was already being piloted in. Undine is now also unloading her cargo of MINIs.

So they both end up being a day late...

Didn't find much of use... sample schedules showed one day travel time between Halifax and Chicago... another one showed travel time to Toronto or Montreal as being next day am. Vague, I know, but it's all I could find... :(

I found their Transit Time calculator and it appears to be 5 days to Ontario and 10 days to Calgary.

Hey guys, just got the call today that my MINI is ready for delivery tomorrow.:D It's only been 5 weeks, but it's felt like 5 months since I ordered it. The last week was definitely the toughest - the WW site showed the MINI discharded at the port last saturday, but my MA wasn't able to give me any updates until late yesterday. It felt like the car fell into a black hole.

Fortunately the wait is almost over and I should be out Motoring tomorrow afternoon! Woo Hoo!!:D

I may have a source that can give us the exact location of our train full of precious cargo, I hope to pursue it later today-I'll post something when I know something.

I'm picking up my car today. I've got my camera ready. I just have this horrible fear that they messed up on the order! I will be so ****ed if something is incorrect. Wish me luck and I'll post pics this evening if the car comes home with me.

Ok, I made the call today and assuming I have the right shipping company, the car has not been loaded on the train yet and is probably still being cleared by customs.

sigh...

So much for hopin I'd have it by next Tuesday... Maybe next Saturday - I would have the time to take it for a good spin. :) My work is sending me to Toronto from Wednesday to Friday, so I was foolishly getting excited about perhaps having the car to drive down instead of taking the train. hehehe.

I got it! I love my car. It's so much fun to drive I just wish I could be out even now. It's late but the weekend is here and tomorrow is a new day. I was surprised but I got a full tank of gas AND the side cup holder. I swore you had to pay for that. ;-)

Well, I'll post some pics tomorrow.

The plan was to pick up my new MCS today, but I received a call late yesterday that my car would not be ready until next weekend. All the build-up, the anticipatation of driving my new baby dashed in an instant.

Now the wait for another week, this could be a long wait. It takes the blooms off the roses.

Oh man! Sorry to hear that Bilbo. I understand the frustration. Just hang in there. You'll be motoring soon!

Talked to my salesman today and he said he had a bit of bad news-two ships were delayed in unloading due to rough seas, one with 600 Minis and one with 1000. He didn't know the names of the ships but I'm pretty sure the Undine and Madame Butterfly got unloaded. I saw the Madame Butterfly on AISlive pulled up to the docks on Thursday so I'm assuming it got unloaded.

My MA said something similar. The vessels expected on the 25th/26th were delayed until the 27th. The WW site shows our MINI as being discharged at 6:30pm on the 27th.

Wierd.... WW hasn't updated my order yet. It still shows "Loaded on vessel" even though the boat has already continued on past new york... I'm assuming that is just a clerical person and that the fine print on my order didn't include a pickup somewhere in South America. :)

My status on WW hasn't been updated either. My MA told me that it arrived so I think they just forgot to update.

Howdy all. First post to the tracking thread, but I've been reading it for a while.

My 06 Space Blue/Silver MCS came over on the Patriot, and was unloaded at Charleston, SC today! I was originally scheduled on the Intrepid, but they bumped me to the earlier ship. The Owner's Lounge is now showing an estimated delivery date of 11/7, so I guess it takes a little over a week to get a MCS from SC to Texas.

Pics forthcoming! Thanks for all the helpful tracking information in this thread :)

Damn Washy I finally had a chance to look at the pic gallery of your new silver MCS with the factory (BBS?) R99 anthracite wheels -- it looks outstanding! The pure silver exterior with the anthracites looks sick!

I love the Recaros as well, and want those so bad in my American MCS. How do they feel? Looks like they would provide much more support during spirited driving than USA spec "sport" seats.

Thnks for the kind words:D
The R99's are made by BBS I believe. The recaro's are really supportive and have the extending thigh support too. Comfortable too on longer journeys...:)

This was definitely the best car buying experience I've ever had.
I would definitely recommend this car and this dealership to anyone!

After picking up the car we drove it around the city all day, took quite a few pictures. It sure does get a lot of attention. I instantly recalled the new-car-parking-paranoya (can't park it closer than 25 ft from any object on the lot). Also, had to stay away from the restaurants with Valet-only paking (trust noone).

The car is a dream: Navigation, Leather, Parking Sensors, Xenons and all of the Packages (except Checkmate), SaddleBag and even the rear fog light.

All the cars look great by the way...makes me want one of each!
