What did you do at work today?

At 10.30am this morning I got a call from one of the regional managers... the OAMPS Advanced Driving course was on at Calder park and they needed a senior staff member to go down a mingle, grease palms... take pictures of the clients ETC..

Drove down to calder to catch the start of the practical driving part of thew day... joined the back of the que with the MINI and preceded to run through drills braking turning, swerving, water stops...etc

Had some lunch and came back out to participate in the timed slalom course set up..... there was a raft of different cars there and the MINI smoked them all and was the quickest each time through the course... except for my last run where I did a hand brake turn at the end of the course, the traction controll was off and when I planted the foot for the return run back through the course... nothing but wheel spin.... gunned it back through the course and returned home only half a second behind the guy who got first... who was in some hotted up SAAB.

Finished up the day taking pictures of the clients doing hot-laps as passengers in Jim Richards Porsche........ I did the last couple of laps of the day as passenger and got around 265-270 KMH down the straight...

Was such an awesome day!!

How was your Monday?

-Dan

I had a great day... had lunch with a babe and went to the gym, work was pretty busy, but I survived.

Your day sounds better though!?!

No need to rub it in!

Today was a public holiday in NSW, so not as "bad" as usual, but your day still sounds a lot better! Nice one!

I've had the pleasure of doing that, about 3 or 4 years ago.

I always used to think being a racing driver would be fun until that day ... everything looks so smooth from outside the car, but is so violent inside.

It was awesome fun though!
