Is it just me, or have the rest of you guys noticed that it's been pretty quiet in comparison to a few weeks ago before all the outages on MINI2 in the Aussie section?

Agree, it's been very quiet tonight and lately, especially about an hour ago.

I've noticed that too. Everyone is usually busy around this time of year, with all the Christmas parties, lunches, etc. I know I don't get on here as much as I used to

My Mini has been pretty stagnant over the past few months with all my MTH Flat spot issues but thats sorted finally so I'm back.

I think we just ran out of things to talk then there's suddenly (from what I can see) couple of members trying to start some sort of MINI parts stores. It's getting a bit commercialised...I ain't saying it's a bad thing though

But a Mini parts shop.. that'll be good...

As long as the prices are more competitive than BMW's then I'm all for it. It'll be good for us enthusiasts as well since we all know what a pain it is to source parts sometimes.

Hi,

Part of the reason it is quiet is it too hard for Aussie people to join this board

We have all the past history to blame for that

I have spoken to at least half a dozen people who have tried to join mini2, but have been unable to post in the Aussie section, and given up

They couldn't work out how to get permission to post on this forum

This was several months ago, and I don't know if the procedure for joining the Aussie boards has changed or not ??

AFAIK its not that way at the moment... theres no 'Aussie Group' you need to be a part of anymore.

All I can say as that its like a relationship. You talk and talk in the beginning, then you get to a point when theres nothing else to talk about. What to do then? Either get married or break it off!
Sorry to say, nobody here has arranged a dating agency on here yet so I guess its the latter.
Dont get me wrong, they'll always drop back in for a quicky (good time) but thats about it....the big rack and toight ass phase is over peoples.

As long as the prices are more competitive than BMW's then I'm all for it. It'll be good for us enthusiasts as well since we all know what a pain it is to source parts sometimes.
