Offline | Australian Mini Servicing Costs Hi All, I was wondering if anybody has taken the Mini Triple 3 Extended Warranty/Servicing option? (3 year warranty (extra 1 year) + up to 60,000km servicing). Also, what is the average cost for a service on the Mini? Thanks CoolJamJar |

Offline | Lee I took out Triple 3 on the Cooper. My thoughts: the extended warranty is a good thing (separate price is about $600). In regards to the servicing, check the number of scheduled services up to 60,000km, because in my case the Cooper ended up being low mileage - I lost out on the services part . On balance, bad decision for me.For the new Cooper S, I will go for just the extended warranty when it's due. Cheers Chris |

Offline | When I novated my Mini I got this info from the dealer. Should give an indication of servicing costs Please incl following a schedule for servicing a Mini Cooper S over a period offive years, based on 25,000kms per year. First Service $410.00 Second Service 520.00 Third Service 410.00 Fourth Service 840.00 Fifth Service 410.00 Total $2590.00 Note every two years Brake Fluid will need changing at a cost of $92.90. Every four years the Coolant will need changing at a cost of $87.35. Yet to get to first service so don't know how 'up front' the dealer was with costs. | Whatev. | I asked the same question when I bought my car 2 years ago - there was not the same information about back then that there is now. My car now has 85000kms on it and the 3rd service was not done before the 60,000 mark. 1st service cost $463.50 (including $80 odd in rear badge issues) 2nd service cost $409.95 3rd service cost $410.20 These were all done at worthingtons. Some of my coast compatriots have paid much less by going north to Klosters. HTH ![]() ![]() |

| Twincharge??? | I'll see if I still got a spare 10% discount voucher for Trivett. Oh if your engine bay is clean, make sure you tell them not to clean your engine bay - that's $20 and they don't bloody clean it. Also, tell them not to add those detergent thingy into your window washer - that's another $3. Call me a tighta$$ but allowing these $tealers making money outta nothing is just fraud in my book. |

Offline | You won't get a third service in with Triple Three, I already tried, and they don't allow it. And yes both Wes and I have yelled at Trivett about that $20 engine bay cleaning ******** hahaha |

Offline | I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Micro filter which at $99.41 is such a bargain - NOT!!! Amazingly enough, the micro filter has gone up almost $25 in 12 months What is even more amazing is that they have replaced the micro filter 3 times in 3 services and have not yet checked to see if the engine air filter needs to be changed. If it wasn't for the fact that I had replaced it myself, it would still have the same air filter in it at 95,000k's (that's when the fourth and supposedly major service is estimated to take place)..................Sorry, I have just picked myself up off the floor as I have just realised that the f#$kers at Rolfe have actually charged me $75 for warranty work when I got my car serviced last Friday!!! How many frigging times to I have to tell them that I have paid to have the warranty extended!!! I AM SICK OF THIS!!! Someone is going to really regret getting my phone call tomorrow morning Also, the price of oil has gone up by $41.67 in 12 months! How can they possibly justify that? I have a major case of the shlts now! ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

| Twincharge??? | Actually I've instructed them NOT to change my microfilter no matter how dirty it is. Just don't really see the point replacing it so often. As for oil, I can't be stuffed paying almost $20/L so I did the next best thing: bring my own. Groupbuy microfilter from the states, anyone? They're like $30AUD over there and they don't weigh much...and can probably send them over by sea as it's not urgent. |
