Offline | Christmas around Newcastle - Night photos (56K) OK - so I'm a day or so late No way I was braving the crowds on Christmas night - there were enough people around tonight! Just a few pics from two houses around my local area that are well-known for their Christmas lights every year ![]() ---------------------------------------------------------- Just up the road from us - a great effort. Each year this one gets better ![]() ![]() ![]() ---------------------------------------------------------- "The Griswolds" Might have heard about this one in the paper. Hundreds of thousands of lights, deco's etc, most of them sourced from overseas, and the latest on Christmas light technology ![]() They've turned it into a real family thing over the years, even got little novelty stands and such (proceeds go to Rescue Chopper I think?). Massive crowd - only managed a few shots without cars/people passing infront of me ![]() Speaking to one couple there who had come up from Sydney to see it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers, Scotty ![]() - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... | Boy who made the wolf cry | I love it when you see the people who's house is worth $2.50 and they have thousnads of dollars of lights on it! People stand around going "Ohhhh, ahhhh, eeeee" at them... That second place is crazy though! Geelongs places are no where near as good! Todd PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |

| Whatev. | I was working myself up into a big old flurry of righteous indignation ranting about the overboardness of christmas lights the other night. (I have no idea why but I loathe them - coming from someone who does stupid things to her car every christmas I know it makes no sense at all and I look like an enormous hypocrite... but I digress) anyhoo, I was stopped in my tracks by someone telling me that our local electricity supplier will give you a rebate for the month of December if you have lights on your house. Nice pics Scotty. I hope none of their neighbours are Scrooges. ![]() ![]() |
