| Boy who made the wolf cry | There are plenty of other places to dyno your car!! Why would you send it from Sydney to Melbourne to get it dyno'ed? You are in Sydney still yeah? You have one-click too yeah? Cant you send it back to the manufacturer likeothers on here have? PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |

| MINI2 Regular | yeah i have the oneclick unit i was goin to send it off to AMD in UK to get the unit retune...... however..... QSZ told me that they might be coming up to syd next month..... and after my dyno run last month, i found out my car is only making just above 110kw on dyno..... that is horrible.... as i have added, 15%pulley, intake, header, catback exhaust, ignition coil, wire and plugs..... and the oneclick ECU (however the oneclick was tuned in USA and is only for intake and pulley upgrade) ....... thats why i am considering tuning the oneclick on dyno, and at the moment only QSZ can do that in Aus..... if anyone have any other sugesstion on what should i do.....feel free to drop me a msg....... |

Offline | keen to know more about this 110kW dyno run before commenting... What kind of dyno? When and where? Can you show us the graph? My car made 121kW on a dyno dynamics dyno in shootout mode with just a pulley and oneclick, though that was high. I don't think your car is actually that bad - I'd be more suspicious of the dyno! The UK oneclick maps seem quite good for the aus cars, from the few I've been involved with. Unless something is drastically wrong, a re-map is not going to buy you heaps. ![]() |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | Maybe try the VGA mod too... anything could help - with specs like that, youa re in the ball park with 110kw at the wheels - probably 10-15 down, but it depends on what time of the day it was tested, ambient air etc. PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |

| MINI2 Regular | here is the dyno maps http://www.mini2.com/forum/engine-drivetrain-tuning/106539-my-mini-one-diesel-mini-cooper-s-only-show-110kw-dyno.html here is the thing...... the dyno was a 2wheel dyno.... and i think it was suppost to be fore RWD car...... it was elevated and the fan was on the floor, therefore it was only blowing on the bottom of the raditor....... there wasn't much air blowing into the intake and intercooler........ the 1st map was done on the first run..... when the car was quite cool...... the 2nd map was done 30 sec after the 1st run...... it was running very rich...... they guy told me that the ECU was dumping fuel to cool down the engine.... I don't know does the fan issue have anything to do with the lack of power..... |

Offline | mmm that is low for one of those dynos. your a/f ratio is stuffed, but fixing it is only gonna give you 1 or 2 kw max. My a/f went up to about 12.5 when I installed my oneclick - when stock, they are all that rich A friend got an UK oneclick ages before me, and his was really rich, so we sent it back to the UK and it came back with a new map that leaned it out a little With all those mods though, it's possible you could have lost power with them - particularly the exhaust, intake, and headers... especially if the airflow on the dyno was poor/non existant. I would say the lack of a good fan wouldn't have helped. Moral of the story - DO A DYNO RUN AFTER EACH MOD TO QUANTIFY THE GAINS! |

Offline | Ive heard the OBX header is actually quite good for the price. Id say ditch the Plasma booster and change to MTH programming or even a UniChip. Also have someone check for pressure losses for the hoses as you could have a leak somewhere. |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | Unichip are a bit so so for the price too I hear - they are only going to flash for a standert MINI anyway... I still think the acetone has damaged something... maybe a rebuild is on order? PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |

| Twincharge??? | I've done some calling around...that dyno he used is known to be a bit optimistic. Anyway, dyno is nothing but a tuning tool - to help tuning and to show percentage of improvement after bolting in new parts. Ever seen a 77kw at the wheels WRX before? Hell, it left my old GTR for dead. |
