Offline | Hi, I am so looking forward to Mt Buller this year The event is going to be huge, with loads of factory and professional teams The 6 historic porkers will be something special The run up the hill at race speed, using pace notes and the full width of the road is something special However, I'm really hoping we win the "lucky door prize" One of the 140 entrants in Mt Buller will win a prize of airfares to the famous "Pikes Peak" hill climb in USA, with entry and a car provided How amazing would that be For those who don't know what Pikes Peak is, I'm sure Scotty or Timmy or someone can find a copy of the legendary incar footage from the event somewhere on the web Cheers Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | The footage from Pike speak was from Ari Vatanen in a works car. This is an almost seminal piece of automotive racing footage. When at high speed he is faced with the sun, just places one hand as a shade and continues to drive at speed with one hand........ just pure genious Will post a link soon!!! 2002 BRG MCS with more mods than can remember The thieves choice in race cars ![]() 2005 BEP MCS stock standard and staying that way |

| Boy who made the wolf cry | Ooooooh, a run at Pikes Peak!?! That is crazy! Very different story to run gravel rather than tarmac though... Everyone knows what Pikes Peak is these days thanks to the Escudo and Gran Turismo. PROJECT POLARIS - Die Wiedergeburt eines kultautos |

Offline | Hi, I'd forgotten how awesome that video was Just take a look at the drop offs over the edge as he comes to the summit Mt Buller has similar falls if you go off the road, but you don't notice it as much because of the trees Cheers Robbo Mods: GO MADDIE and SPARKY! |

Offline | [brief thread hijack] [controversy] Rally, eg WRC, and sprint, eg Mt Buller, is just fabulous for the spectator and driver alike Beats F1, IMHO [/controversy] See http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...04112403800330 for a tribute to Ari. I believe all those persons out there with the "CAUTION: Frequently Sideways" or whatever, are mostly driving with one hand. [/brief thread hijack] Looking at this clip, you have to marvel at how far automotive genius has come since 2WD Escorts ruled the rally roost. I know there have been a few hiccups along the way, but we keep moving on. ![]() /end of 2c worth...... |

Offline | New Design Is Out!!! Yep got a new design for the car thanks to Andrew Jackson from Ozicozi. Basically wanted to get a bit of contrast so that was the extent of the brief I gave AJ, just do as you see fit. And the result, fluro orange and it looks even better in real life... should stand out now 2002 BRG MCS with more mods than can remember The thieves choice in race cars ![]() 2005 BEP MCS stock standard and staying that way |
