Thermostat

Ok, which one of you turned up the thermostat on the earth?

Could you please turn it back down?

Im about to head out for a bike ride... to the gym... I'll keep my fluids up - no one likes seeing Mr Black dots on your vision.

Did anyone see that young bloke crash out of the Tour Downunder yesterday? That was massive! Collapsed on a downhill section doing 80km/h, face planted hard.

I spent my works kit and put in ducted air conditioning In Melbourne that would only seem like a smart thing to do for about a week a year. It's three months up here

I live in a small place Steve, I have reverse cycle and it was a great investment. Im sitting in 21ºc of splendor right now We get dry heat down here - and it is also a lot more than 1 week.

In total each year, I would assume we would get 10 days with 40ºC+ temperatures. So it isnt all a waste of money. I can normally cope with the heat quite well. Luckily.

Even though we are in Melbourne, our place has ducted evap cooling - it's struggling today, just blowing warm air. Hey it's only a few days a year.

I can vouch the value of swamos air con, nice and cool and it is a nice touch they give you a winter coat at the door when you visit.

was it hot today? I was in the Botannical Gardens this afternoon under a tree and it was lovely (about 25 I reckon)

Sure, it was warm in other places I went, but not like on New Years Day or anything?!

The thing that still scares me is it was like a message from someone. The cost of the whole system installed was $9600, or exactly the price they were selling works kits for.

Everyday, in this God forsaken part of Sydney, I thank the heavens for 3 wonderful split systems that I had installed to keep the place at a comfortable 17c all day long.

Some people say we're polar bears

My parents have evap cooling at their place but I found that on humid hot days like the weekend, it doesn't work very well, altho at least the whole house is cooler compared to the outside. Hubby and I have split system in certain rooms. It's very nice when you're in the room but gee when you have to go to the toilet...

Went to Chandstone at 10am yesterday, hoping to enjoy a bit of their air-con but they're struggling as well, was sweating the whole time we were there.
