Hey Red5,

Spinning Wheel, 85 Bourke Street, East Sydney would be a good bet. My Cooper S has coilovers and is pretty low and they don't have a problem.

Their number is 9358-5444.

Good luck.

Ask for Flavio or Matthew, they'll sort you out!
Spinning wheel is the ONLY place I let touch my rims and tyres.

try heasman steering
they specialise in suspension and steering on any car old or new
i know the quality of the work they do there is of very high standard
they usually have specs of tried and proven combinations for alot of cars
(no i dont work there but know the guys there quite well)

I'd be a little wary with going to Heasmans, having realigned my car there 3 times before it was anything remotely close to what it should be (yet they still haven't solved the original problem btw) I wouldn't be going back there in a hurry. They wanted $95 to align my car which is only $25 short of what the $tealer wanted. To rub salt into the wound, they wanted to charge me for the 2 other alignments when they're the ones that made my car steers to the right, tramline like there's no tomorrow plus various other things.

Another turn off about that place is they kept on trying to sell me those Nothalane camber arms for $400 a pair and wanted me to buy 2 pairs so they can play with toe and camber...thanks but no thanks.

Then I popped in the other day trying to find out will anyone beats Peak's quote to install a set of new suspension...yep, they managed to beat Peak's quote with ease.

On the other hand, they know their stuff with my GT-R as everything was spot on and fixed all the problems I had before. Maybe they aren't experienced in playing with MINI's.

Yeah I agree with ya dairyboy about heasmans, they did an OK job on my MX5 a few years ago so I got them to do an alignment on the MCS a while back, they really stuffed it up !. I just don't think they have the experience with newer type cars, the guy there came up with his own settings and the result was rubbish it was all over the shop . I had to take it back to the $teeler for a KDS = rip off alignment . I like to get a alignment at least once a year just to keep every thing pointing in the right direction but I hate going to BMW such wallys allways complaing and moaning about the car being lower than standard bla bla harder to do bla cost more bla no warranty on work bla give us all your dosh and go away bla......................... know wot I mean ........I would just like to find some straight up no bull guys who have done Minis before...........

Cheers : )

You'd just went to the wrong dealer btw, KDS did sort out my problem despite the cost and won't run with my own settings - it must be factory spec unless they can't get anywhere near factory spec, such as a lowered one up the back as pre-05's cars doesn't have camber adjustable control arms.

I reckon they will probably chuck a spas when my coilovers are there

Had the allignment done Saturday.Work done well but if you have portable sat nav take it off the screen before you leave the car. I have Tom Tom and they physically pulled it off without releasing the suction cup holder --------result broken bracket--when i pointed this out they had no hesitation in paying for a new one. I would use them again.
