Some of you may know that the Captain recently docked his ship in dry dock here at Canberra. We’ve been looking after her well, and decided to let her stretch her legs a bit before heading back towards the ocean blue. We simply directed her where the wind was blowing, and here is where she went…

…She started by catching a few loops at the National Museum of Australia…

…she paid her respects at the Australian War Memorial…

…well may we say, God Save the MINI, because nothing will save Rover!…

…she sailed in for a read at the National Library of Australia…

…beautiful curves…

…she had a bit of a Captain Cook towards the city…

…Commonwealth Place was a breeze…

…she saw some familiar faces at the National Portrait Gallery…

…did her bit for international relations…

…she doesn’t know much about art, but she knew what she liked at the National Gallery of Australia…

…she made the earth move at Questacon…

…caught “the vibe” at the High Court of Australia…

…she really enjoyed the view atop Black Mountain…

…and got herself into shape for her Captain’s return at the Australian Institute of Sport…

…and now, her Captain is back on deck and both have sailed off into the sunset, homeward bound.

We did but see her driving by.

WELCOME HOME AL!

The photos of the trip to to fyshwick will no doubt be coming out on the extended
special addition dvd that you will be able to buy from the suspect looking guy down
at the local market.Some sweet looking images there lads.well done.

Great shots, the Mini Mag people could use alot of those pictures if they ever decide to do a story on Canberra.

Absolutely Brilliant Liam, Thanks for such fantastic photo's. It is great to know that my MINI was having such a fantastic time with you guys while I was dodging bullets and armed hold up's in Johannesburg.
The photo sequence reminded me of the "Garden Nome" story where a Nome was kidnapped from a garden and photo's of it were sent to the owners from around the World....several weeks later the Nome was put back in the garden with a suntan painted on.
Brilliant !!!!!
