Offline | You missed a run over the mountains that was much more sedate than the usual 6am sunday morning blast. But it was still fun. The cricket match went okay. But due to the small turn out of 7 MINIs the fielding numbers were down. What were your times like at QR yesterday? Did you improve? |

Offline | Managed to improve my times from the first outing, though only slightly. Gary, Ken & I were by far the quickest in our group - we went off first and found ourselves catching the tailenders by the second or third lap in some rounds so it was a little hard to get clean/fast laps in. By the end of the day time was running short so we combined with another group for the last couple of runs so the problem of traffic only got worse (ask Gary about the guy in the Skyline who just wouldn't let him past ). I owe my improved times to my better approach into turn#6, which I seemed to perfect somewhere between rounds 3 & 4 when a black piece of rubber deposited itself right at the perfect turn-in point for the MCS. I used that piece of rubber as my marker for when to make the turn for the last corner and found that it gave me the perfect line .....It was only later we found out that the piece of shredded rubber I was using as my entry-marker was actually Ken's power-steering belt ![]() QuickBrick |

Offline | Darrel, not much to say, I think it was a 180sx that was more suited to the drags. On every corner it was slowing me down but it was a bit faster on the stright. So he obviously thought he was faster as he could drag me off on the stright so he did not let me past. I recon I was about 2 seconds a lap faster than him. Funny thin was the car had these big brackets on the boot lid. Must have been for a BIG alloy wing. Good job he took it off or I would have had him on the stright with all that drag ![]() |

Offline | That's it Dallas, I'm going to speak to Gary about banning you from the "Usual Suspects" thread for an indefinate period (I assume that the originator of a thread has this type of power if obscene comments are made to bring the thread into disrepute) Of course if NSW win your ban will be suspended (and you will go onto probation I would imagine) and you will be allowed back on the forum so that all the ClubMINI Qlders can give you heaps ![]() QuickBrick |

Offline | Well you just do that then! But just remember, "Qld Mini Owners" have already claimed all the best twisties in South East Qld as ours, so your new club will have to have their runs on the South East Freeway and Bruce Highway as I think these are the only roads left ![]() QuickBrick |
