The shipping on them is the killer if you buy them from the states. I went BC Coilovers with swift springs. Nice little setup and once you do the hard yards on the install, the adjustment is a piece of cake, Wouldn't you agree Putsy?

Not going to lie to you there were a few hard yards during the install.... But once fitted they are a very nice product and to adjust the rears and fronts just a turn of a knob. I think some pics may be in order scolburn...

What hard yards are you referring to? Any cutting of the body for access to camber adjustment to get them in? I have done the springs on mine and it took ages to figure out how to "safely" get off the front shock. 3 guys, 2 jacks, a crow bar and a blank of wood

And a few Sparks flying and a few swear words flying Part and partial of the job really. You have to drop the f bomb a few times, it just doesn't happen with out it otherwise

Hey putsy, I just sent an e-mail to the guy I got the coilovers off and asked if I could get some extension adjusters for the fronts, I'll be stuffed if I am going to jack the car up and squeeze my hands into that hole if I have to adjust it again.

To get the whole shock/spring assembly off the car we had some difficulty to put it simply. The spring compressor we had did not have enough clearance between the spring and the body. So we had to use a crow bar and wood on the end of a jack and pump the jack up so that the crowbar would push into the bottom of the spring. We compressed it, pulled the bottom of the shock from its mounting "hole" and let off the jack. Putting the new lowered spring on we didnt even need to use the crowbar contraption haha. All in all great fun and ... a bit dangerous

PS. I really need to get the Bently manual for my car.

hahahah I agree, it is just in a prick of a spot.

Couldnt you of just undone the 2 13mm bolts in the lower ball joint and undoo the 16mm bolt of the compression bush then they should just fall out???

You dont need the Bently manual you need the MINI tech system from bmw soooooo much better.

Yeah well at the time we didn't think of that. This is what I had to go by:

MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Springs Install How-To

It worked in the end

Why are you in Mackay?

I got the Bentley Book off Gregg today, its essentially a 720 page sleeping tablet with pictures. But it sure does look helpful
