I am VERY interested in these - just hoping no body else is

Although, once you 'own' them, can't you get them replaced for a nominal fee? Just bend them a bit, and say they were damaged Or change the colour scheme

The nominal fee is $185, we have just changed our "not the end of the world plates" for ordinary black plates with silver rego

Yeah, I think you are right now that I think about it. In fact, you would have to be a complete idiot to even think about bidding on those plates as they could turn into a financial black-hole for the prospective buyer as Darrell suggests

So we all agree that we won't bid on the JCW plates - right

They just wouldn't look right on a DS car

I certainly wont be bidding any more than $10,000 for them

So, it is legal to 'sell' personalised plates in QLD? If it is, then, ahem, maybe let the right people know - the 'seller' would then lose them, and you'd get them at the cost of other personalised plates

I'd wouldn't buy them, because they have the "Orrible Motorline plastic thing-a-me-gigs around them" Free E-bay advertisting Matt??? Very clever !!!!

Pizza night perhaps on the 2nd Aug ( Tuesday) This time I'll even have my MINI only done 3000km in it this year and haven't taken it out of mums garage since 3rd week of April. (seat took a month to fix, then using the Old mini to test it before the June mini run, and now "testing " it every day for the Bathurst Parade lap, can't have it breaking down on Conrod straight in front of every one. Hope the New MINI starts on Tuesday

Think so, as in QLD you buy the right to the plate for life, (none of this pay yearly stuff) so there fore i think you can sell the right to the plate, you can even sell the display right of the plate.. ie you still own it (the right that is) but allow a other person to display it on there car, but you never own the bit of bit of metal it is printed on.

Hey Brett your not in town on the 22 of next month?

I'm still keen on them Ash, I'm just planning on leaving my bidding until the last minute!

Congrats on selling the house, but I think you deserve to buy yourself a better present to celebrate - surely you could afford some of those expensive Prestige plates (I think there are still a couple of combinations available that Brett doesn't own yet ) Maybe you could get "Boozer" - I'm sure that would see you sailing straight through any RBTs you may come across

Hi QLDers. I'm in Brissy from tomorrow morning till tuesday evening. I'm staying with cousins on Friday and Saturday night down near Beenleigh. I then have work again on Monday and Tuesday and am staying in Spring Hill on Phillips Street. I was wandering if people wanted to get together for dinner Sunday or Monday night. I know you guys normally hang out on Thursday nights, but it's always cool to meet new people whilst I'm away for work.
