| MINI2 Master | If I make it to my 98th, they would indeed be interesting presents. Good news, I have located Black Pudding ( ee bah gum lad, it's bostin' stuff) at Portside deli. I will be insisting on a black pudding, pork pie, roast beef and yorkshire pud pizza next Wednesday. Newcastle Brown Ale to wash it down, and an early call to the drain blockers would be good ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | I must admit, its a German rip off called Blutwurst, and nowhere near as nutritious as the pukka Black Country version with groats and barley ( the white bits ). Now, I'm on the hunt for some proper scratchings , and I don't mean this Mr Porky crunch stuff that is another pale imitation !!Meanwhile, back in the world of the new R56..... ![]() |

Offline | I am not sure if you mean bring along a friend in your MINI or bring along a friend who also happes to own a MINI as well?? I think the official (or maybe unofficial) rule is that you can go on one or two runs first to see if that is the sort of group you would like to join. I believe that there are some people who have been members and didnt renew their membership that still come on runs that really should renew their membership to be fair to everyone. There are also people that have been on more than two runs that never bothered to join and just hear about the runs via the grapevine so they also should pay membership fees. I dont think anyone would have a problem with a paid up member bring along a friend to ride in the members car or even bring along a friend with their own MINI for their first run though. Hopefully might get to meet in person on Sunday |

Offline | I wouldn't mind seeing what its like... I have this Sunday off which is unusual...I normally have to work them most weekends so I dunno if it would be able to use the most of my membership... plus I'm unsure if I wanna join a club or not.... and I meant is it cool to bring people along with you in the same car if the driver only has a membership? ![]() |

Offline | Last year we tried to make some runs on Saturday and some on Sundays so that people who usually work one or the other got a chance to come to runs. The main problem with not being a member is that the club insurance may not cover you if there is an accident ie personal liabiility side of things. Also if you are not a member you may not hear about the runs until too late ie the emails with all the details are usually sent out a couple of weeks in advance which may help with planning or getting a day off, rather than hearing about a run via the internet only a day or so beforehand. We are also in the process of organising discounts with dealers, etc for club members as well as organising social events which would not be a full day ie ten pin bowling or movies, etc so even if you cant make it to full day runs there may still be a benefit to join and meet other MINI minded people. Come along on the run on Sunday and I am sure other members will be able to explain all about the club as well. |

Offline | Run was really interesting... and long.... 300km+ return trip! quite a few twisty corners and 90degree corners, quite a few annoying drivers sitting under the speed limit and not letting the convoy pass and quite a few paddocks and farms ![]() and a $150 penalty for me on the way home ![]() |

Offline | I think we were still getting home at 5:45pm. The run was great with some different roads that I dont think we had done before so a HUGE thank you to Greg and Bec. They did warn us about the "photo" opportunities and I believe that Daimond wasnt the only one caught on the way home!! We made it home with a big of a strange knocking noise which after a quick look might be the engine mount to will have to ring the MINI hospital tomorrow for an appointment. It was great to catch up with everyone after being away for a couple of weeks and hopefully we will see lots of people on Wednesday at the AGM and look forward to working with a new committee with lots of great ideas already being discussed today. |
