sometimes makes me kinda glad that mine is only a cooper
went down the M1 today...i was a little bit over the limit i think, but a cop decided to chase a S2000 rather than me. He was in front of me though....maybe thats why...
Charles, Same thing happened to me last night on the M1.
In a friend's old panel-van (cause his surfboard won't fit in a MINI!) coming back from the gold coast, doing a little over the speed limit in the 100 zone, and a merc CLS passes us - we oogle a bit, and then try to break subtly as we notice the cop on the motorbike on the road shoulder up ahead. Flashing lights go on and he pulls out..... lucky for us he shoots straight after the CLS
Cops are out in force today. After spending hours cleaning the car I decided to go for a drive to take a few pics of my handy work. At a set of lights a commadore pulls up and when the lights turn green this fella is off at a high rate of knots. I see its a red sv6 and I think I could have tried to keep up with it but thought the better of it. This car is going very fast through Ipswich and after a while see some flashing lights at a top of a hill. I thinks ha the cops have got him and contemplate winding down the window and giving him the HAHA. But when I get close I see the red dunnydoor is the cop car and he has pulled over another car. Phew lucky I didn't try to keep up with it.
On the way home from taking a few pics another cop car behind me does a u turn with his lights flashing.
I also get breathalysed on the way home and the cop says he has never seen the dash of a Mini before, I say its flash isn't it
Just drove back from Wooli (coastal town near Grafton) and the NSW police were everywhere. I was really impressed with NSW roads with lots and lots of speed signs and lots of reminders ie "Do you know what speed you are doing now". There were lots of passing lanes and yet two young idiots killed themselves Friday morning overtaking on the single lanes and had a head on just before we went through. Queensland should look at the northern NSW roads as there were even signs stating how far to the next three rest areas and when you get to the rest area they were reallly nice with good chemical loos, kids playgrounds and small park to walk the dogs, etc.
Is it worth mentioning to all those wanting to have a go at the track next weekend that I have a set of brand new 16" runflats on MINI 5 spoke wheels available Save wrecking your 17's
