I dont see how they can get 100 new MINIs to a Show and Shine with only two days notice. If anyone does happen to be driving by I would love to know how many actually do show up. I havent seen any advertising for either the one this weekend or next weekend.

I have personally been on the receiving end of a very strange phone call from Mark a few weeks ago so all I can advise is just watch what you say to him as there is a very long story behind it all and just beware.

Hello Brisbane/QLD mini people

I will hopefully be getting delivery of my first mini (cabrio) at the end of this month - I would love to come on the next outing - is anything planned at this stage?

Incidentally, I have seen quite a few minis around the local area in the last few weeks - liquid yellow, light blue and dark grey hard tops all around the Keperra/Arana Hills/ Ferny Hills area (I think I also saw a pepper white one too) and a chilli red convertible at everton park shopping centre and driving down my street about 2 weeks ago - possibly the same one... rather weird - perhaps they were always there but I didn't notice them until now...

The new clubMINI calender and details should be on the website at www.clubmini.com.au/qld/ soon but the June run is Saturday night 17 June and the one after is Sunday 15 July.

Certainly just contact anyone listed on the clubMINI committe and they will be able to provide details.

Sounds like fun. I checked the club website and it says 16 July for a Sanctuary Cove day run but the 16th is a Monday???? I also saw there was a social event on 24/6 at the Normanby Hotel which I will try to get to as well - depending on what I can do with the kids.

Anyway, I have sent the club events coordinator an email and hope to hear back soon.

Odds of identical MINI's in QLD??
I have read somewhere that the chances are that 1 in 50,000 MINI's are identical. Would there be 50,000 MINI's in Queensland (cut that down to 50,000 R56's)?? I am really liking the odds of my MINI being unique to QLD (well not as unique as the Alpine MINI). If someone does happen to have a LB MCS with web spokes, sunroof, chrome line ext and white roof - I will be driving at opposite ends of the convoy when it arrives :P

I know there is an identical MINI that comes into my work....same colour black/red door panels/red interior tartan pattern...altho the only difference is that my MINI has a white roof and his is black... Ooooh!

It would be pretty cool to see a MINI the same... altho a rarety I'm sure!

I had all intentions of going but was stuck in Sydney and couldn't get out due to weather on Saturday, didn't get home until Sunday afternoon

Are any members (or prospective new members) thinking of coming to the next clubMINI run on Saturday??? We have quite a few already listed but just need to double check numbers.

We are meeting at Motorline at Daisy Hill at 3:30pm to view the Alpine MINI which is very amazing according to the photos being shown and then going to Robina for a 5pm dinner.

Depart Robina at 6:30pm to the Glowworm cave for a short walk in Springbrook National park and then probably a quick icecream stop on the way home

So please let a committee member know if you are coming and where you would like to join the run due to catering purposes.
