For those who asked about the top brake-light flashing unit. I got it from MiniMania in the USA. It would be cheaper if you bought as a group, but individually I paid $24.94 for the unit and paid another $40.42 for shipping totalling $65.36.

They would not quote me shipping when I placed the order so it was a SURPRISE!! when the bill came in to what it was.
Anyway, I am happy with it and I had decided before I placed the order that i'd be happy if it came in under a $100 and so it did.
The installation instructions were excellent unless you own an R56 like me, in which case, you need a little bravado to figure out how to access the top rear brake-light assembly and the colour of the cable differences. I have done it now and it was not a challange, even though the colour coding was different and opposite to that which would normally be expected to me ( I have an electrical background, not auto though)

The item number is NMA2502.

Cheers
Steve

Had a great time thanks. And yes, the landy was more reliable. We did 12k and didn't need to visit the dealer once! I think the MINI averaged a visit every 5k or less. I'm trying to block that out!

We fitted ours no problem with the supplied instructions. In anyone else wants one get it sent to a friend in America and then shipped to Australia as its very, very small and I shouldnt cost much to post normal post at all.

Sounds like we got a real bargain when we bought ours at AMVIV for USD$20

Wait until you are in traffic (well maybe that doesnt happen out there). You will have to wait until you come to Brissie next. When in traffic you can see the flashes bouncing off the windscreen of the car behind you if you happen to look in the rearview mirror. Something to keep you amused when sitting in the traffic going no-one. If you keep tapping your brakes it keeps flashing so dont know how annoying it gets for the person behind!!!

They should feel priviledged to be sitting behind a MINI and having something lovely to admire while sitting in the traffic with nothing better to do!!

If there are any fellow R56 owners who are looking at purchasing coilovers for the mini-- I am looking at getting these Alta Mini Performance - R56 H&R Cooper S Coilovers
I would appreciate any advice as to why not these, or if anyone else wants to go in with me so we can get a discount in cartage, I'd appreciate it. I am in Brisbane.

How long did it take to get them over?
Also, was there a particular reason you went for that brand, or do they have a good reputation?

Went with them as they have a good rep for suspension. They have been around for a while and I have quite a few friends and colleagues that have used H&R's over the years. They took around 3 weeks from ordering to on my desk here at work.

Mine is still clean!! Hasn't been outta the garage since Sunday!! Got it home and dried it off and that is where it will sit. Finally got my control Arm on there way. Decided to go Ireland Engineering Street type. My H & R Front Sway should be here maybe tomorrow but probably early next week. Once installed my suspension will be solid as, with Front Sway being H & R 27mm, Rear Sway being H-Sport Comp which is also I think 29mm Hollowed out to 27mm, Ireland Engineering Front and Rear Adjustable Sway Links and Ireland Engineering Control Arms
both Upper and Lower. Just about ready to get my Unichip Custom Tuned on the Dyno and yes I have Purchased the Water/Meth Injection from the States!!! So I will have to find a spot for this to be installed!! This thing is really gonna haul **** by the time I will finish with it. Might have to go Twin Charge!!
