Steve those wheels and tyres must be nearly antique by now. How long have you tried selling your wheels for now

I'm excited Zappo

I think my aim for the day will be too try and keep up with you! The times you recorded on your maiden voyage at QR were awsome, so I am planning on following you around the track and trying to keep up

Well, what a day was had by all at Qld Raceway today

We ended up with 5 Minis and 1 Ring-in (a schmick 205GTI PUG). Our group consisted of the 6 of us, a couple of Forester GTs; a WRX STI; a WRX hatch and a Westfield. The Minis held there own against all but the STI! I think we all improved our times with each of the four rounds we had, and most importantly, I'm 100% certain we all had an absolute blast.

A big thanks must go to Ken who looked after all as Newbies. He eased us through our first-round nerves; performed on-the-spot coaching; and helped me get my best lap-time of the day when he slowed down enough for me to follow him around for a few laps and follow his lines And of course, in-between the rookie sessions, Ken was good enough to keep us all entertained watching him chase down the Porsche GTs

Awesome time had at QR by all. It was good to see that all that went had a good time driving at their own pace and I think everyone improved their times through the day.

All we need now is to get a full group of Minis for the next sprint day.

Glad you all had a great time.

Goal for next time is a full grid of 10-12 MINIs on the track at one time.

Beat the bushes and we can do it.

Hope the Gemballa twins are back again next time. It would be nice to go up against them with full boost. Shame the MINIMania intercooler hoses didn't arrive in time. That was my 4th pair of OEM hoses in under 3 years.

The Gemballa Carrera S was not that hard, but the Gemballa Turbo will take a bit of work, even with new hoses. One of those rear tyres was equal to the 4 of mine combined. Thing looked like a steam roller.

Hey Kids, come along to the track and you may even see a re-appearance of "The Fonz". He said that if we got enough MINIs out next time, he would jump over a shark in the back carpark before we all went home

Here's a shot I managed to get of him in his potential shark-jumping MINI at QR last Saturday arvo...

Gregg you beat me to it. I was going to ask if you would post the pic of "The Fonz" giving us a big "HEY"... that's just priceless.

If Lou gives me the pic I might post what went on a dinner as well, Quickbrick and SB getting close and personal

Ken, you would be working hard to catch the Turbo but we loved the way you kept on the tail of that Porsche. No wonder they left early

Hmmm, how do I PM Louise? Sunnybanker & I may be able to come up with a small amount of cash in exchange for the original jpeg of that incident

I guess we both knew that pic was destined for M2, but now I am suspecting I don't want to see it
