Offline | Well AJ, It was beautiful up here yesterday, and the forcast for today said it would be perfect! We seem to be experiencing a prolonged period of what we Qlders call "Cane Toad Catching Weather" also known locally as "XXXX drinking Weather" Actually it is starting to get cold up here. I think it got down to about 14 degrees C here last night - that is cold stuff for us Qlders! QuickBrick |

| MINI Traitor | The answer is it is just cold enough for us to have a fire and some red wine on our camping trip next week. However I'm pleased to say that we will still have mid 20's days The forecast is that the backpackers will be wearing next to nothing, as per usual ![]() |

| MINI Traitor | We are yet to see nude backpackers... however I'm sure it goes on As far as I can tell, female backpackers seem to be told that there is no space for luggage (beer only) so they are only allowed to take their bikin's as it's all you see them wearing... at lunch...climbing trees, and of course next to Eli Creek ![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | I used to dream of having a 14c day in summer in the UK so , 24degC autumn days are still nice and warm for me.That said, her indoors has started to have the aircon on heat so thats more time sitting outside for me. I can't wait for those nice cool winter mornings when i'll be getting up early to watch the World Cup ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Swamos is often that naked backpacker seen on Australian beaches going by the pseudonym of Lars Longaschlong. ![]() I am sure M1N130 and I saw him on a recent trip to Moreton Island chasing both female campers and seagulls along the beach wearing nothing more than an intense look on his face! ![]() |

| MINI Traitor | That's not entirely true!!! I was just getting changed when that b*#yh#$#d seagull stole my last chip!.... the female campers were just collateral damage so to speak. Was that this trip here? Trying to snatch that landcruiser must have been like a jack russel being taken for a walk when he seeing a cat and going the other way It's good to hear you're still alive Danny ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Yep still alive and kickin'. Yeh it was that trip. Actually it wasn't a too hard snatch at all. I was just lucky I was still on reasonably hard sand following Rob. Simply connected the snatch, put a bit of tension on it and dragged the big ol' 'Crusier out. Would have been a different story if I was following too close. I suspect there would have been a bit of digging going on. I was impressed with the X-Trail over there though. We even saw one towing a boat around the island (about a 15 foot tinny) which is no mean feat considering the tracks and soft fluffy beach entry and exit points are rather inhospitable. So you're off to Fraser next weekend? Sounds good. I actually have my Fraser trip in the pipelines for October. Can't wait and should be good. Baby come yet? ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Nah we didn't camp. Rob has a house he stays in over there. I camped for six months straight once while backpacking around Europe and vowed never to camp again. Maybe when the kids are a little older... perhaps. $4 per night per adult over Fraser/Moreton is pretty hard to beat. Well good luck with the new baby. ![]() |

Offline | Yep, ambient morning temperatures mean our interheaters are finally becoming intercoolers. Looking forward to those 3 degree dawn Sunday drives over the mountain Roll on winter. |
