It's very very common for people to say they are going and then can it at the last minute!

it was a great run, mostly dry the whole way, had 2 close calls though on the way home, 1st when some stupid woman didnt have her dog on a leash and ran infront of garys car, what a nice few k's off the breaks and tyres there ! and then on the way home some nice young guy in a skyline decided to hammer through a red light, nearly cleaned up me and 2 others ! what an @$$.

Great morning out

Sounds like i was lucky to leave you two alone when i did on the way back. I managed to dodge the doog and the skyline!

My wife wasn't so lucky on the way down the hill. He stomach succumbed to the twist and turns and we had to pull over. She is a trooper though!

I am thinking seriously abot that guy in the valley (whoever it is with the wheel painting. I'll have to see what available in tthe stripes as well. i like the black viper stripe idea. Maybe just continue the black stripes the full length of the car as well? Get some carbon fire mirror covers etc... I also like the CF JCW back near the tail pipes as well. Hmmmm more money to spend. Better sell soem shares .

Got my car booked in for tuesday to get all the suspension done, Front and Rear Sway Bar, Front and rear Adjustable Sway End Links and Upper and Lower Control Arms. Can't wait to see what it handles like. They say this is one thing you can do and feel the difference. Should be good to flog around the tight bends on the mountains

Sorry I couldn't make it on the run - I was caught up with Fathers Day duties with the Family (and my Old man wanted to see the MINI as he has been hearing heaps about it recently...) I have also heard about your mountain runs and I think that I want to wear in the motor a little bit more first :P

Another quick question - Has anyone here got the QLD Euro Plates on their MINI? There are two sizes available and I am sure that I want the larger one on the back (520 X 112) but not sure whether to go the slimline (372 x 100) on the front or not.

Any advice would be welcome :P I really should hve organised this before taking delivery of the car but my mind was busy with other things!

You're kidding! What a ****er. Was it from the way back or from the run? That hard corner followed by the insane bump we hit would see a few suspension parts tested, but an engine mount?

I reckon it was the fact you were watching me stepping out (and laughing) in your rear vision mirror rather than your tacho.

I relation to the question about euro number plates. I am probably not the person who will give any legal advice but i know how you can do it economically. .

Man that's a bugger. You should look into getting some urethane mounts. I hear they are pretty good. Sounds like Jamie knew what he was doing when he got rid of his car to you

I have Euro Plates on my R50. I just have the same size front and back. But you do have to drill out the holes to suit. I know because when I took it to Toowoomba someone took a liking and ripped it off the front of the car so I had to order knew ones and fit it myself. But I should've known not to take it out there!! If you need a template for the back one I still have my old one. It is pretty easy though if your handy with a tape measure, Battery Drill and Drill Bit!!
