I can find out where your 02 Cooper is. I saw it a couple of months ago out here ( St George) with about the 3rd owner, visiting one of the cooks of the local pub
it has the Chrome grill, like the cooper, and a cooper Silver interior and Chrono pack Nokia car kit fully intergrated and Dension IPOD conection with text on radio screen,
can send photos ohh and my Aircon condensor has a slight bend in it from a bird been like it for 3 years and dealers have checked it and told me it's only cosmetic and not worth changing unless I constantly look down there when I have the bonnet up
Not a bad lookin' "S"... so your the lucky one who got "MINI" plates... haha
I'm sure there has been endless amounts of people try to get that combination but cant...
Good to hear your back Danny. We're looking for another car but I doubt it's going to be a MINI. It looks like it could be fun though. With our car situation the lady wants something to drive around town so the 4wd stays tucked up in the garage. Unfortunately they only put one extra door on the clubman...
I am suprised that Cooper is still roadworthy after the beating I gave it, the deglect the next owner bestowed on it and the months and months and months it sat in car dealers' yards!
The run was a good one. Slightly different to the ones i had been on proviously because there was only 7 of us and 2 mini's were new ones. The other new thing was the difference in the twisty bits. Good roads and the corners were, on average, must faster than what we usually do. Alison fared much better due to this as well. So all good!
Lunch was laso good so long as you like ginger, which i do and the alcoholic ginger beers were also very nice!

Anyway must catch up![/quote]
We could always give your car top EXBIT and get an extra door pimped for you What about a Sliding van door?? that wouldn't be hard to do
Welcome back Danny - good to hear you're ready to MINI again.
Speaking of which, I know this little Black number you may be interested in
•Cooper S - Yes. and the S badges are still brand new and in boxes
•2003-2005 - 2003
•Will look at a 2002 if it had all the warrantee things done (cooler bottle/seatbelt issue/airbag light and the list went on… - Warranty issues all sorted (no MINI parts left to go wrong!)
• 17” S’lites - what colour? How does Porsche GT3-RSR green sound
• At least half leather - Is half leather, but all in boxes OK?
•Multi function steering wheel - That's in a box too, if you don't mind
•Sunroof (but not stressed if it hasn’t) - I'll see your no sunroof and raise you no airbags
•It has had its correct dealership servicing (and logbooks) - is my CAMS logbook OK ?
•The car’s body and interior close to perfect - Does perfectly empty qualify - no interior, just the roll cage
- oh and reasonably low k's - 70,000 km OK? mostly driven by a little old bald bloke on Sundays (unless race day is on a Saturday).
Yep ready to MINI again when I come across the right car. If I wanted a MINI that truely flies I'd look at Black Betty but I need a MINI that's had all four wheels firmly on the ground.
In all seriousness I am going for a test drive of a new "S" on Thursday (Nov 22nd) at Brisbane BMW.
Got my eye firmly on carsales.com.au too. Starting to get quite a few realisically priced (close to redbook) 2nd hand "S'" on there now. Even seems to be a few sub $30 "S" with decent spec and reasonably low k's creeping on there but found $30k-$32k will get you a cracker later R53 with near top spec.
There's a great 2005 cabrio "S" in NSW with only 23ks on the clock and loads of extras for just $35k asking price. If I could get over the colour I'd drive down tomorrow and buy it. There's even a ripper BRG Monte Carlo with sunroof at an asking price of $32k.
