Offline | yeah i'd be checking the suspension. BEFORE you pick it up. get the part numbers off BMW and comparing it to the car. 1968 Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1310cc Downton Lake Green - White 1974 Leyland Mini 1098c Country Cream 2008 MINI Cooper S Chilli Pepper White - Black Roof |

Offline | Or you could just get the part numbers off realoem.com. Realoem will show you exactly which parts are different between standard and sports suspension so you should only have to check a couple of key components to know which suspension they have put on your car. Rear sway bar diameter would probably be the easiest thing to check. QuickBrick |

| MINI2 Regular | I have an 06 MC with sports suspension, easy to tell I have it. When I replaced my springs I discovered a sticker on the shock that said "Cooper S" Just look for that. Unless yours is already a MCS then discard what I just said ![]() "Daisy" <-- 06 Just-a-cooper, Astro Black, Checkmate... with mods |

Offline | If you want to pay an arm and a leg for it you can buy it from England. The best places to look is to America. If you go to MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring that is the forum site for American Mini owners, in there is a list of vendors that sell items for the R53 and R56. But just remember once you start you can't stop, it's like a disease!! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Yep we mod 'em. I refer you to http://www.mini2.com/forum/australia...-mini-327.html for some indication of that. I agree with Scolburn, Its cheaper from the USA but i get sick of dealing with the lack-lustre attitude from the US and sometimes the GB vendors. I reckon if you can make it here, make it here. At least you know what you're getting. Cheers and welcome If you are travelling in the same direction as your wheels are pointing- You aren't trying hard enough. |

Offline | Hope all the ClubMINIers had fun today - apologies that I couldnt make it, today I was helping Abs move her stuff (no not in the MINI - in a hired truck!) I put in the third brake pulsar yesterday arvo - about to hook up the rear fogs to the brakelights using the gominigo kit - if anyone sees a LB MCS with a wall of brake lights and a flashing 3rd brake light you will know who it is ;-) Gary - hope the knee sorts itself out and you dont need the op. I can imagine it would be pretty hard driving the MINI with a bung knee - hopefully you dont need to trade it in for an autonatic... :P |

Offline | Does this explain your base jump ![]() I will only know if I can make it to the show'n shine after the op, which I may book in tomorrow. Best result for the op is no weight on my leg for 6 weeks and no driving for 8 weeks. Worst result for the op I walk out after the ops. So sorry to say but I hope I don't make the show'n shine. |
