Offline | Great Ocean Rd Yesterday, my friend & I went for a drive to Lavers Hill, Cape Otway Lighthouse & on to Apollo Bay before heading back to Colac & home to Ballan. I like sitting in the passenger seat, my friend had a ball driving through the curves of the road around the mountains, racing through the gears of the more than willing engine. The sound of the Supercharger whine......*MAGIC*. Really makes you appreciate you own a special car!!!Mike in Ballan. ![]() 2005 JCW Mini Cooper S Chilli |

Offline | They're some superb roads in there. Some of the bits between Lavers Hill and Port Campbell are excellent. And, of course, the Lorne-Apollo Bay section is fantastic too. ![]() |

Offline | Great Ocean Rd Yes MiM, minigolf, we had a ball, we also had a bit fun on some of the greasy damp patches of the road, Thanks for your message, Mike. ![]() 2005 JCW Mini Cooper S Chilli |

Offline | GOR is always a fun blast, as long as they haven't got those nasty "cops-hiding-in-bushes-with-radars-and-radio" there .Seen a few really nasty accidents there when people have gone silly, be careful out there. |

Offline | Great Ocean Rd Actually, I don't think the speed limit was broken at all. There are no arbitrary speed limits on the curves, just suggested ones. IE, a 60KPH curve, in a good car can be safely negotiated at a higher rate but without breaking the speed limit, and still retaining a margin for safety. Mike. ![]() 2005 JCW Mini Cooper S Chilli |

Offline | While the posted limits on the yellow signs are just suggestions, you're still governed by the speed limits of the road you're on. I sometimes get confused and think the normal ones are suggestions too ![]() |
