Offline | The Half Baked Excuse of a Run Well there was this idea that seeing as quite a few of us had Monday off, that we'd do a drive. Or something. To where? ummm.. somewhere. Dunno. You pick. ![]() What started out as an exercise in half-baking a drive turned out to be one of the coolest days I've attended in a while ![]() Firstly, a massive thankyou to Simon for his baking skills which led us to some amazing roads and lots of larfs and fun ![]() We started the day from Tea Gardens and from there proceeded North - Buladelah it was. And found this amazing little piece of road. Like the bestest road. A road that was like the leg of the OPH we are all familiar with and Bumble, but with a better surface, cooler atmosphere and - the clincher - basically no cars. OMG. I ran that road a few times. Just a few. Right now I want to go again. ![]() Cue photoshoot at a little picnic spot on that road. More larfs. Took Mr. G for a ride along said road. More fun. Oh, somewhere in there was lunch at a pub at Buladelah too which was also great (I'm rambling.. too much fun to take in today really )Then from the picnic spot, we drove back through (I think) Booral - cue more bloody fantastic windy little roads. Brought us out on the Bucketts Way - rode that home. Sensational day.. I really have to say, I just love the (sorta - ummm.. maybe - something... whatdyareckon) unplanned runs They end up being soooo much fun ![]() Thanks to everyone for attending today, I've REALLY missed the whole MINI thing lately. Never missed my water until my world ran dry... Have some piccies soon ![]() Scotty - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... Offline | this was a great day. Scotty's not exaggerating. 10:00am this morning is not probably the best time to decide to go on a mini drive that meets in tea-gardens at midday, but its what we did, and i'm really glad. It really was a very relaxed day, with no set plans. Just some half baked idea. and i can't believe that you could find a piece of road of that quality that is that deserted. It was amazing. Many many laughs today. and how do you do a grilled chicken burger in 90 seconds. that pub should patent that microwave bain-marie. thanks Simon for your hospitality and the coffee. the little fingerprints on the nice glass finishings make the place look more.......homely. ![]() I love Warsaw. Where else can you hug a pole? ![]() If you have any information, any information at all, please contact me as I'm writing an encyclopaedia. |
