Offline | Just heard from my dealer that BMW group Australia have announced (or are about to) that, effective today, all new Mini's (and BMW's ) now come with three years unlimited kilometre warranty as standard (about time though ).Apparently this new policy will be back dated to anyone that picked up a car after 1 March which includes me ![]() Jan 06 MCS Checkmate |

Offline | that's not the word I would use - it's about time they caught up with something the rest of the industry introduced five years ago! I can't believe it's taken BMW this long! |

Offline | Me either!! I thought that is what they came with, and when "Megan" spat the dummy at Eastern Creek, was surprised to find out that it was only a 2 year warranty. Bu99er, I think this means "Scarlett" misses out by a couple of weeks We picked her up on the 10th February. |

Offline | Wahooo - that's sensational news!! I've been a little disappointed about the 2 year warranty, but if it's changing to three years and mine is going to be back-dated I'll be tickled pink! |

Offline | Generally, the manurfacturer will only provide a 1 year factory warranty - in this case BMW Germany. Then it's up to the local distributor - BMW Aus - to provide the rest... Hence the differences in varying countries even though the product is the same. Or is that not the case these days? ![]() |
