Offline | Guys and Girls All we have to be is positive and keeping talking it up  , This is now an annual event so it will be 12 months before it comes around again, so the outlay of money (which is probably one of the sticking points for some members) is only small in the scheme of things.clubMINI stives to provide a range of social, sport and drive acivities that are either free or cost covering, we have over 180 members in just over 12 months so whilst membership is excellent there is rather poor attendance at the events, but never loose heart, because anyone that has ever been on a clubMINI event or those co-organised with MINI2/Pirates know how much fun it is to have a gaggle of MINI's together. clubMINI has lots of exciting things happening such as the Targa Tak by Stu and Robbo on 4 June at Alto Artarmon, (see Targa thread on this) a FREE day off advice on the Targa and socialising, and I am working on a two huge events for next year that will just blow your socks off.  Hopefully over the weekend, news will be released of clubMINI's amazing 14 day tour of Tasmania next February. This is going to be one of the best road trips anyone could ever do, I have been putting it together for the past 6 months and we willl be launching it to all clubMINI State clubs. Then next October 2007 with strong support from MINI Australia we will host the inaugral clubMINI National Get Together. I am negotiating with Wakefield Park for the hire of the cirucuit for a weekend with activities based around beautiful Goulburn, gala dinner, track and hill climb events, street parade, show and shine, Drives to the Nations Capital, everything. In the meantime we keep plugging away trying to provide a variety of events for everyone, but as you say they only happen if they are supported, so keep asking around your friends to see if they want to join us on Saturday 20 May at Eastern Creek having the most fun you can with your clothes on! At the MINIkahana Vic We only need 5 more! |

Offline | Hey, my ears were burning. Sorry guys and gals can't make this one, peter is off for a week surf trip and i will have both kids. He won't be back till that night and if i only had Jocelyn (13yrs) and not Jasmine (4yrs) i also would be there with bells on. Great day out, i will keep my fingers crossed that u all get the numbers. Not happy that i can't try to better my 2nd placing. Just giving u a chance Tom, LOL. Offline | Thanks Floody, that would be great, as for trophies etc, 1-3 placing trophies will go to outright winners, but the MINIkhana Shield of Champions is for clubMINI members only so the first placed clubMINI member would have their name appear on the Shield, I'm sure everyone would be OK with that. Ask any VWVortex members to contact me via MINI2 to register etc. thanks. We need 4 more as a minimum. vic |

Offline | OK its happening! We have 11 starters so even though we are one short we will go ahead, if anyone else wishes to join in please email me asap. For all those that have entered I am emailing the details to you tonight with advice on how to make the payment into the club's account. For anyone wishing to come and have a look, the fun kicks off at 8.30am Saturday 20 May at Eastern Creek Skid Pan.
