I was thinking of driving (from brisbane) to Toowoomba for lunch this Sunday (14th).
Anyone else interested in making a convoy of it?

My special ladyfriend has never been there, so we'd probably go to picnic point for views and/or one of the other parks for lunch.
Then have a fun drive home- down the range on full stomachs

Well, it looks like no-one else's mothers went away on mother's day - like mine did. So it was just me on the drive to toowoomba.

I got my first "Is that your car?"-"What type of car is it?" conversation outside some shops on the main street while I was there.

and then we got stuck in a traffic jam on the warrego highway on the way home:
Warrego Highway diversion
Ended up heading bush to find an alternate route, tried to take a shortcut through one of those streets marked in the street directory as grey (incomplete) - turned back when I found out the guy in the 4wd in front couldn't make it, so then took the long way back to brisbane via mt crosby.

lots of fun, and my car is now a browny/red colour once again
