old/new rearview mirror swap

I have a 2005 model with the 'new' big interior rear-view mirror and would much prefer the older smaller one.

I just priced the parts for the old (pre July 2004) mirror, and they're twice the price of them bought in england.

Before I get my UK friend to buy and ship one for me, I was wondering if there were any other aussies with an older car, who just happened to want the new bigger mirror.

They're interchangeable (see Rearview Mirror Mod) and then we could just swap (and post if you're not in brisbane).

Because the newer one takes up all the windscreen and you have to drive with your head out the window Ace Ventura style to see...

Do you have to sit on a crate or something to see over the windscreen?

You had better just hold off before you get Roz to bleach your hair Darrell as the colour of Aker's MCSC is now in contention

I'm pretty sure it was DS, but Bec thinks it was Cool Blue (we spotted him on dusk from about 200 meters).

However, If I'm not mistaken, you can only get the Cooper in CB (not the S), therefore I deduce that he must have a DS MCSC ...... I mean could you see Aker in a Cooper let alone a Cooper Cabrio

You may now die you hair Sunnybanker
