Offline | Toowoomba BMW SLOWEST SERVICE CENTRE? Hi guys Tommorrow marks 1 month since I droped my Mini Drivers seat into them to get a new frame fitted. It's starting to really give me the ****s. and being 400km away it's not like I can drop in and pester them. They were really good at slotting my Girlfriends car in at very late notice. But after this experince I doubt I will take my Mini there again.. I'd hate to think how long an engine - transmission rebuild will take. Thinking of hitting them up for my monthly repayment ![]() 1968 Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1310cc Downton Lake Green - White 1974 Leyland Mini 1098c Country Cream 2008 MINI Cooper S Chilli Pepper White - Black Roof |

| Twincharge??? | Is the frame in stock or available ex-Melbourne? If so, then they are slow otherwise it's BMW Aust slowing it down as the parts has to be brought in from Germany...like the lower leather seat cover I had to replace. Took BMW Aust 2 months to bring it in. |

Offline | I agree with n00b Sometimes it can take a while to get parts in from overseas. You have to remember that if the part is available but only from another country, you have to take in to account shipping time plus clearance time through customs. If customs is backed up this can slow down the release time of any goods waiting at port (including cars). If the part isn't available to be shipped from os straight away, it way have to be built os then shipped. This can take a huge amount of time as well. When my clutch needed replacing it took two weeks. Not the dealers fault, they had to order the part from Germany, which then had to come from Hungary. And we all remember the delays that were experienced not that long ago because of customs computer problems don't we? Patience sometimes really is a vurtue. I would give MINI customer service a call and ask them to chase it up. You never know, they may offer some type of compensation for the waiting period if it turns out to be from BMWs end. And if it is the dealer causing the delays, they may be able to hurry the dealer up. |

Offline | No They have had the new seat frame for now for about 2 and a bit weeks. BMW had it in stock. They have been telling me that it's almost finished, with half an hour to go to finish the job off. That was early last week. they claim that they have other cars to work on. They told me it would be finished last Friday afternoon, So I sent a rep in to pick it up who cames out to St George, they told him that theres only 30 Mins to go and the rep said "I'll call back then" and was told no it won't get looked at today So Until I have another rep who has a station wagon come through, I will have a MINI sitting undrivable ![]() 1968 Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1310cc Downton Lake Green - White 1974 Leyland Mini 1098c Country Cream 2008 MINI Cooper S Chilli Pepper White - Black Roof |

Offline | In that case if I were you, I would give the dealer principal a call and have a chat to them. Let them know what you've been told and that it's unsatisfactory. Get an exact date and time out of them to pick it up. Let them know that if they waste your time again that you will make a formal complaint to the Director of the dealership and to Mini Australia. The way that they have treated you is deplorable, and yet another example of the arrogance of some dealerships around the world. |

| MINI Traitor | Brett, you should have bought a Mazda. They would have just swapped one out of a new car into yours! Cjay had a mx5 with a gearbox that they couldn't fix... kept jumping out of gear. They ended up swapping his buggered one into a new car, and giving the new one to him. I guess they thought they would worry about the problem later!! Clubman less.... ![]() |

Offline | The only half decent thing that Toowoomba BMW going for it is their labour costs. We got quotes of $200 for labour from Brisbane BMW to change the front rotors and pads and rear pads plus brake fluid, Toowoomba BMW charged $75. I supplied them with DBA Slotted Rotors and Greenstuff pads, and drove away half a day later $75 poorer with new brakes. Not too bad saving $125 on labour... But yeah, being primarily a Ford dealer, I think that they just don't have the same level of service as some of the Brisbane dealerships. |

Offline | Superior Automotive in Albion are good and are cheaper than the BMW dealers. They have all the diagnostics for BMW's and use all the same people as Brisbane BMW. Highly recommend them. |
