clubMINI Tasmanian Tour February 2007

To all clubMINI members and MINI owners

clubMINI NSW is inviting all MINI owners to join us on a fabulous 14 day tour of Tasmania next February 10-25 February 2007.

All details are in the attached link (if it works, and if it doesn't just email me at events@nsw.clubmini.com.au and I'll email you the itinerary)

We will spend 14 days touring all the best roads in Tasmania, seeing the amazing scenery, enjoying the delightful food and beverages, arts and crafts and great social times. Even MINI Australia is supporting this event with supply of a support vehicle and spare parts, they will be mailing details to all MINI owners and even assisting with the gala dinner planned for Valentine's Day at Coles Bay.

We have secured an excellent discounted price on the accommodation and Spirit of Tasmania but we need to secure our bookings asap and you are asked to provide a deposit by the end of June to secure your booking, see the itinerary for all the details.

I am coordinating the event on behalf of clubMINI ( this drive has gone National and all clubMINI chapters are invited, and non members in MINI's are welcome too) if you have any questions just post them here for me to answer.

How could they! Doesn't affect me, but the Syd guys and gals might have to drive to Vic to get the ferry!

Yes unfortunately it looks very likely that the Sydney to Devonport Ferry will be sold off sooner than later, if it is, then us Sydney/Canberrians and NSWelshmen and Queenslanders will just have to drive to Melbourne and back home from Melbourne, drat more time behind the wheel of our MINI's And the tour price will be less too! See another silver lining Always look on the bright side of life

Don't worry Bob, we are doing at least 20 special stages during our Tassie tour. But maybe not quite at 220kph as did Robbo

Bummer - just head on the News that the Spirit of Tasmania will cease operating from Sydney at the end of August. Looks like the NSW & QLD people will be driving back from Melbourne now.

Arrhh yes, but look on the bright side, our tour fee is now $160 cheaper and we get to drive our MINI's for another 1000+k"s

A win win situation.

A real pity about the loss of the ferry though
