Mine is getting repaired this week. Hope it comes back alright....

6 years anti-corrosion...would that warranty have been around the time when my 2003 Cooper was built or is this only for the more recent models?

Thanks to this thread... I would have still been driving around completely oblivious to the fact that I am driving around in a "rust bucket"

Fairly certain that would be for ALL new MINIs sold since lanuch in 2002.

I wouldnt be too sure, I have peeled back the sills at the dealership and found rust spots forming in brand new not even delivered cars.

I'm not really surprised with it happening in say the UK where it rains a fair bit but somewhere like Brisbane where it hasn't been raining too much lately how can something like this occur... it's very strange...

But when lookin' at the area it hasn't been painted or anything and has just been left to be bare metal....
