Cheapest Place in Sydney for Pulley install

hey guys,

wonder if anyone could guide me to a workshop that can fit aftermarket pulleys on my cooper S. ive been quoted some ridiculous prices.. just wanted to know what u guys paid for installation cost. ive already got the pulley itself, i just dont have all the equipment to fit the pulley in myself (would love to give it a shot, but it seems almost impossible without the right tools)

hope u guys can guide me to the right place. wanting to get it done asap, the cheaper the better i guess...

it'll be great as a guide to know what everyone else paid to get theirs fitted.

regards,
willy

Peak is about $600 as they wanna yank out everything and the supercharger, put it on the bench then pull the pulley off.

Australia

If you dont mind a drive to Newcastle 1 1/2 hrs up F3. Klosters did mine for $400 using the pully puller that I made. I left it with them. They know their stuff and deliver the job on time. Also the drive home would allow the ECU to reprogramme itself.

Call me a big girly blouse, but I like that the 15% is, theoretically, within the limitations of the engine and all it's inside bits.

Hi,

IMHO a 15% is the sweet spot for the engine and the supercharger Maximises the useable power, with plenty of reliability. I guess that is why the JCW is virtually identical

If you 17% or higher be prepared for belt slippage, belt breaks, general mechanical problems etc to be increased by a significant factor. With these pulleys the car will make more horsepower on the dyno (by a significant degree), and will do a better drag strip time (only just). On the racetrack I don't think it will make much difference at all

Cheers

Robbo

the 15% is meant to be safely within the efficiency envelope, where as the the 16% is supposed to be *just* within the EE, and the 17% just out....which is why i'd go for the 16%. But that really is nitpicking
