Well brett made it ok to Bathurst.

Went down town to check out the action, and all was said and done (it is only wednesday

Talked to Bob Holden yesterday, what a great guy

. Saw bretts mini and a bunch of others at the showground on display. I am gonna join in on a run they are organising for this afternoon, should be fun

A rather nasty crash in the developement series. Both drivers had to be flown to hospital,. Heres hoping they both make a full recovery.

Some guy rolled his old skool mini at bathurst today in one of the support races.
He was out and about walking around his car so he be ok i guess.
The brg mini went up and over on the exit to hell corner from the quick bit i saw on the news.
One of the guys from yestys big crash has talked today so he is looking ok but the other driver is still in a very bad way. Heres hoping they both pull through ok.

The mini went over coming onto the main straight not going around the other end of it.
The guy is fine.

Yeah was a big one. One guy is still critical, the other is stable.

On another front, the mini run yesterday was awesome

. About 35-40 old skool and new mini's took part. They were running a bit late, so we pretty much got there (30kms out) and came straight back. But it was good fun none the less.

Met up with Vic and brett, nice guys

Will update as news comes to hand.

His name is David Wheatley. He's a member of our car club and we've known him for years. A really nice guy. Thankfully he wasn't hurt. His wife has a new MINI, and she also has the most gorgeous old Cooper S. We've been trying to buy it off them for years but they just won't sell. I'm thinking we've got even less chance of getting it now that he's destroyed his other one.

He was very lucky.

I slow motioned it, and it is shocking. The door comes off, and you can see his head and limbs flailing around and stretching in every direction

He is very lucky to get out of it with a cut hand

The car looks a mess though

He has been gravely injured, I would suggest we wait and see what happens over the next few days, but it is very sad.

I was watching the race from Reid Park spectator area and the accident occurred directly in front of us, it was sickening, we left the track after the incident,

this thing wasn't just an 'Old Skool' mini. It had a very very well built (by arthur Jackson if memory serves) cage, and every aspect of the preparation of the car was tickety boo. Yes, it could have been worse, but its not all luck.
