Here's a look at what his car was like before. By the looks of the photos of the aftermath, I'd say that roll-cage is pretty well intact. David doesn't do things in half-measures.

Was an exciting finish. Glad it didn't end under Safety Car conditions. Pity it had so many Safety Car sessions during the race though.

I thought it was all over when richards put it into the wall with about 3 laps to go but they thankfully let the race continue. It was a great finish to what turned out to be one wierd race. shoulda put 10 bucks on the pace car to do more laps then half the field. Bummer about skaifey not making the first lap. Although not a holden fan i was hoping he would be on the podium at the finish as he was there with brocky for so long.

Was hoping the Kelly Gang could get out of jail with a win, but hard to begrudge the Lowndes/Whincup victory. About bloody time Ford won at Bathurst I guess.

Reports are in confirming the passing of Mark Porter who was involved in the crash on Friday. A chilling end to a sombre weekend.

I'm stoked that Lowndes won. Particularly when I was in a house full of Holden fans today. I'm the only one who doesn't seem to care what type of car they drive. Very pleased that Seton got on the podium too, and mighty impressed with the Denyer/Davison combo who came in 9th. OK, maybe I'm just mightly impressed with Denyer.

Very Sad indeed. My thoughts are with his young family.

I love Warsaw. Where else can you hug a pole?

Your comments mirror mine, I even predicted Lowndes win during the radio interview on Friday night, agree about Seton and Denyer too, in fact Grant amazes me with everything he does and he does all so well, quite a talent.

As mentioned I and some other clubMINI members witnessed this terrible accident on Friday, I also have a contact in the Medical team who advised me yesterday that he was in a very bad way, my thoughts are with his family.

I thought we may have witnessed another very serious accident today when Paul Radisich went off, not sure how seriously injured he is although they did say he was talking when they got him out of the wreck, but your body dosn't like stopping from 200+ kph in 1 metre!

From the news I just heard, Paul has a fractured ankle. Pretty lucky considering.
