Pirates Secret Santa '06 - 17th Dec

Keeping in the spirit of the season and also with the tradition, let's see if we can round the troops together this year for a Secret Santa at the usual place PITS. As Captain Captain will be away until xmas eve, I've somewhat ended up with the task of getting this thing together. Hopefully it will not fall to sh*t.

Secret Santa gift to the value of $10. Scrooges will not be eligible to to receive a gift.

Order of Events:

9:30 - 10am Gathering of the crew at PITS
10am Pie eating comp
Best Festive-decked Mini
Best Xmas/Pirates outfit
--- to be decided.
10:30 am Secret Santa
11am Head out to Wiseman's Ferry.
12:30pm Lunch at Wiseman's Ferry
Head down Galston Gorge then separate to go our way home

Pie Eating Competition (Held at PITS)

If you're interested in doing this and I don't get around to you on the day, please come see me. I'll have a hat/bag ready and put your name on a piece of paper and drop it in. A mystery panel will pick 5 names out of the bag/hat and those lucky ppl will get to be in the comp.

Best dressed (to be awarded at PITS)

In the spirit of the season, I encourage you to dress up in the theme of Pirates and/or Christmas. Best dressed to be decided by a mystery judge will be awarded on the day.

Festive blinged MINI (to be awarded at PITS)

Like the best dressed, this is a chance to bling up your MINI for the festive season.

Guessing competition (Online participation only).

Prize to be given on the day to the person who has posted the closest number of MINIs (old and new) that will be there on the day.

Yep, that's what happened last year... It's no biggie, if there's not enough interest it probs won't be on, but either way, I'm sure there'll be a bunch of us that'll get together before xmas at PITS anyway...

The 10th is fairly unlikely due to work committments around lunchtime...... maybe i could squeeze in a morning hello, but i don't know at this stage.

Isn't the reason we have the pirates in the first place because we have no rules??? Not everyone is a member of club mini too or some haven't renewed their membership. This is a pirate tradition along with decorate your car like a Christmas tree or however far u want to take it, no names mentioned of course, oh gee i was one of them wasn't i. ROFL My poor santas on my spotties were blown assunder. I don't really care what date but i think it should be strongly suggested that if u want a present u bring a present. A couple last year did not do this and this is unfair to those that have. Thats my say. HO HO HO.

Beach huh?! Well I know Stu is keen for something coastal, and tbh, I'm not a fan of the beach... ... coz beach = sand... sand + mini = microscope + vacuum + hours of frustration removing sand from the car... yes before you say it.. I know.. I'm obsessive..

Not particularly on the beach but so we can at least see it. I totally understand the sand issue as i am probably just as bad as u. In a nice way of course. AND YES I AM IN for either date.

What if i ask Worthingtons to put on a free sausage sizzle for us? Would that be an idea that other would enjoy. Sure i can twist their arms.
