I know this has been mentioned in the NSW Motor Sport Topic but as we still need numbers to make it happen i thought i would give it its own thread.
On 8 December from 4.30pm clubMINI is holding a twilight track event at Eastern Creek. all you need is a car (MINI not essential) a helmet (available for hire if needed) and a fist full of dollars.
This will follow our previous and well liked formats, arrive anytime from 4.30pm at Eastern Creek, there will be professional drivers from Driving Solutions on hand to accompany you around the track to show you the right lines. The group is usually split into two, more experienced and less experienced, and each group gets 20 mins on and 20 mins off up to approx 8.15pm. This equates to heaps of track time. The fee is $220 for clubMINI members and $240 for non members (each driver). and includes a light meal and drinks for dinner at the track.
We have 13 starters thus far but need 20 to make sure we get this price and i need to confirm with Eastern Creek by 24 November, so if anyone else wishes to join us on 8 December please email me at
events@nsw.clubmini.com.au or PM me via MINI2
Also, as mentioned elsewhere clubMINI is having a Christmas get together this Sunday 19 November in the park between Rowland Reserve and the tennis courts on Pittwater road Bayview between 10am and 12 Noon, there are gas BBQ's at the park and lots of meter parking and some free on street parking. No need to register, just turn up, we expect quite a few MINI's so it should be a good chance for some optic nerving and a social catch up. All MINI owners are invited, members or not. Rather than a secret santa or similar we are asking those who wish to, to contribute a small cash donation to the club's charity drive which is raising money for the Cystic Fribrosis appeal. Please note, this is a saparate event from the annual Pirates secret santa day details of which are listed under its own topic heading on MINI2
