Mini Car Club of NSW Motorkhana - This Sunday - Nov 26th

Hey All

I'm Directing a Motorkhana this Sunday for the NSW Mini Club. All Welcome. This is a great way to dip your toe in the water - it's the easiest form of motorsport to get into, and can be done in a stock standard car. This event is run on grass (which turns to dirt quite quickly I must add ) and is very little impact on cars. All you need to compete is club membership and a CAMS level 2NS licence - both of which are available on the day. CAMS licence is $45 and more info on club memberships is available at our website (link in my signature). Most of our events are closed to club, but this is a Multi-Club so if you are a member of any other CAMS Affiliated club that's fine.

Event Name : Bob's Motorkhana
When : Sunday November 26. 10:00am start. You will need to be there before 9:00 to compete as you will need to have your car scrutineered and fill out paperwork etc.
Where : Mini Car Club Grounds, Bandon Rd South, Riverstone. UBD Map Ref 107 A14 (see attached map)

Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, or check out our club web page or HERE for more info.

Good fun today. Unfortunatley I didn't take my camera, so I don't have much to post, but I did try to capture what was left of the dust after the drive home.

What a great day. Thanks to Bob and all the officials for running a fantastic event.

Well done to Poki for competing in her first Motorkhana and for doing very well too.

Congratulations to Mr G for winning his class and also to my Dad for being part of the winning team.

Nice to meet you today too Snapper.

Shame we didn't have anyone there to take photos though.

Karen

Heh, I knew you were lining me up in that last shot Matt but didn't have the energy to do anything about it.

THANKS to BOB AND THE NSW MINI CAR CLUB. I had a ball today. Even with two wrong directions and two flags, I was happy enough to improve my times with each run.

Now to get the car clean. Which is going to be no mean feat. Boy I enjoyed getting it dirty tho

For anyone not afraid of a bit of dust and dirt motorkhanas are supergoodfun, I give them the cookie monster seal of approval

PS: Special thanks to the G's for introducing us to this fine version of motorsport and for being so encouraging.

Thanks for coming guys. Was a great day despite my lack of sleep, sunburn and not being able to compete. Was good to see the new cars out there mixing it with the classics.

Thanks to Brad especially for helping out once again with the official duties - but I do want to see you have a go next time!

I'll be sure and try to post the next event up here nice and early and I'd love so see a few more come and have a go!

See you next time.

Hi Karen Matt Kerrie and Bob

It was fun watching the Classic and Moden Minis mix it up at the Motorkarna.
Congats Matt and Kerry for doing so well.
I was impressed at your driving skills around the coarse, especially when much of the coarse was obsured by dust - don't know how you found the exit.
Will go again...as a spectator / photoman thou -- got this phobia about dust on my shiny black roof. will have to park up wind

cheers,
Pete
