| MINI Traitor | Right you lot, I've had enough of all negativity and stuff. I would like to formally propose that we have a..... ![]() ![]() BE NICE TO BASIL WEEK ![]() ![]() ![]() I think this would be a good thing for everyone to practice, and if we start with Basil, all that good karma(sic) might rub off on other members of this forum. How about we start it on the 18th of this month, and it can run for a full week until the 24th? Until then, you can all start by practising being nice to Basil. What does everyone think?? ![]() Clubman less.... ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | "Wynn probably more than most" LOL! Why, is Basil hot or something? Yay! On another happy note, I'm certain I'm the only American who has any idea what a Dalek even is. <chuckle> Do you know that Daleks date back all the way to the first season, and even the third (or is it the second?) episode of Dr. Who? Absolutely amazing. I so miss Dr. Who... I was particularly fond of Sylvester McCoy, and thought that in the final seasons, the relationship between the Ace and the last doctor was the most real, credible, complex relationship ever portrayed on the show. A real pity that the BBC couldn't get its act together to save the whole thing. I loved the show dearly. ...Especially when there were Daleks. Or even Kelads.Peace, Davro...er, WYNN. Texan. Goofy. Sometimes witty. Pacifist. Imperfect, nice guy. Trying. |

Offline | I think that's universal. My parents used to tell stories about me when I was very young watching Dr. Who from behind the couch because the Daleks were so scary. A few years ago I saw a Dr. Who exhibit at the Museum Of Moving Images in London. It was entitled "From Behind The Couch," and the first display featured a mock '60s English living room with a mannequin child hiding behind the couch watching the first Dalek episode on an old TV. Apparently, we had lots of company Aiden. ![]() |
