Offline | Brake Disc and Pad recommendations? Well my newly acquired MCS needs some front discs and pads - I have done the search and read past thoughts but wanted to find out the latest thinking. I was probably going to opt for the DBA 4000 series front discs (slotted only) but just not sure on the pads - these discs are relatively new and there seem to be no posts on people's experince with them My car will be used 95% day to day driving with 5% motorsport (sprints and hillclimbs) so need a cleanish pad that will not wear out too fast My initial thoughts were the Ferodo DS2500 based on some reading, but then I saw some guys had had wear problems on slotted rotors with hard driving - otherwise they seem to get good reviews My other thoughts were Racebrakes RB74's What recent experience and recommendations have people got for brakes? Thanks JOSH ![]() |

![]() MCSJCW | HI I've just bought the DBA4000's and a set of DS2500 to go on my car. Did a heap of looking on here and other forums to see how the pair go together. Couldn't find anything bad about it so I got them. They will be going on before the PITS Secret Santa, so hopefully everyone can have a look then. The DBA's can be purchased from any Autobarn/Autopro and the pads I got from Competition Friction in Canberra. ![]() - Blacky - 2003 MCS JCW Trouble Maker |

Offline | If you don't mind me asking, how much (each) were the DBA4000's? I've previously gone for the Powerslot discs at $107 ea (front) and $96 ea (rear) plus postage and I'm very happy with them, but would prefer an Aussie product if possible. ![]() Feb 02 R50 |
