There automatic lights, when it gets dark enough the headlights switch on

As for the price for the actual vehicle,

This is more or else what the dealer told me when I purchase the car:
The price is an estimate as the car hasn't been launch in Australia yet,
and the estimate will be 5% more than the price of the current R53.
You'll get a clearer quote of the price once the car is launch in Australia which is in March.

On the 22nd or so of this month most Aussie MINI dealers will be going to Tassie for a training course for the R56

Have been enquiring into insurance prices, No-one has heard of a R56 Cooper S turbo yet either, making quotes impossible

At least they dont ask me if its a Rover or a Leyland like they did in '02

One thing on the list that is wrong is the chrome line exterior. The list says that its not available on MCS Chilli. It is available at the $200. I've got it ordered on mine.

To be perfectly honest with you guys, my first impression of the options list is bit... hmmm... how should I put this... SHORT!!

Don't you think? There's a couple of things that are missing.. etc iPod Interface.. and much more I'm sure, is just that I'm a bit blank now... damnit... HAHA

How is it your car will be in Aus before the launch of the car? Are they going to deliver it or leave it sitting on the wharf for a month??

My car arrives on the 23rd Feb but delivery isn't expected to be until the 16th March. I did place my order on the 27th Nov and it got built on the 12th Jan.(hope that's not gonna have dire consequences with workmanship

) I'm apparently the first customer delivery of a 56, I can't confirm it's truth, but thats what I've been told. It then got loaded on the ship on the 21st Jan. It usually takes around 2 weeks for cars to clear the docks, arrive at PrixCar and get plated up, and then get to the dealers for all the pre delivery routines. Mine will sit around a little longer than usual because of the actual release of the car. I'm getting it sooner than I initially expected, I was originally told it would be very late March at the best, back in November.

I think I'm gonna be one of those boring, fanatical sods that will be snooping around the docks on the 23/24th looking for my car being loaded on a truck.

If anyone did officially place their order before the 27th Nov, you're very welcome to go ahead and burst my bubble of thinking I'm the first!

That's nothing new. MINI is renowned for small options lists.
