Hey guys,
Are any Melbournians interested in a cruise during the week of the F1GP?
im_dave and myself (vinno99) will be making the annual pilgrimage down to Albert Park from Sydney for the F1 on March 12th and will be staying the week. Would love to catch up for a run with mini2 members down in Melbourne and put some faces to names! March 12/13/14 day/evening/night would be ideal before we go to the track on Thur-Sun! Dandenong mountains has been suggested but am open to other ideas..
Have got a few mates with minis down in Melbourne at the moment, but the more.. the merrier! Pls let us know

don't know that I'll have time that week, since I'm working at the race, but I strongly recommend doing the Reefton Spur....

Woe is me! Would be great to have a cruise and meet you guys, BUT, I won't have the newie until the 16th. Wouldn't be the same luggin along in an XR6 ute, would it!
If delivery is, well 'premature' by a few days, I'd love to meet up!

Haha well u know I dun actually mind the Falcon. I'm a hard core Falcon enthusiast to tell the truth, although I drive a Mazda, and also drive im_dave's MCS on cruise days haha..
Let's hope it comes early- I'd def like to see the '07 newie!!

So it looks like this will be happening on Tue 13th March.. at a destination yet to be settled/suggested. More than a few cars at the moment. Those of us mentioned above, and a 6MPS maybe, and a BMW 325.. who else? I wanna get this thing organised before we come down on Monday!

Well Tuesday is the day, car will be mine. Well some of it anyway, most will still be owned by BMW for a few years! I would love to come along on Tuesday if I can make it. Let me know the when and where's of it and I'll see if I can get there. It may be a late arvo delivery. I have no idea at this stage.

We're planning for Tuesday the 13th anyway.. go to your dealer in the morning and annoy em for it- I doubt they'd make you wait over an hour for it..
Would love to see the R56 on our mini-cruise.. and of course would like to see you there too!

Yep!! Dave and I are coming down to Melb tmr afternoon (Monday).
And we're pushing to have this cruise on Tuesday afternoon after lunchtime.

OK guys. Dave and I are here in Melbourne at the moment, and we've decided on the following time for the cruise so more ppl can come..

EDIT: NEW MEETING LOCATION

Tuesday 13th March (ie. today)
Meet 3:00pm for 3:30pm departure

@ Shell Coles Express Petrol Station
493 Burwood Highway
Vermont South
(eastbound direction)

So far, we have:

* im_dave
* wils
* st00ge
* michael strachan (if he gets his R56 tomoro before 3:30pm)
* baker (if you wanna run in your tyres)
* relik666 (to be confirmed)

Anyway, if you guys can make it pls come along. We'd like to go for a run up Dandenong Mountains!
We're gonna meet up with Wils first before we go to PITS, if anyone else would like to do so, give us a call (we'll PM you the hotline)

Thanks a heap guys for being patient and waiting the extra 45 odd minutes for me to arrive. It was great to meet up with you all and hope to do it all again once I'm not siht scared and my cars run in a bit.

Yeh, you're car was smmmoooookin'!! See if you can see the smoke on the pics we will post up later tonite..
Anyway, a top arvo had by all, thanks Wilson, Elie (you Stooge), Ruth, Michael and Dave for coming. The twisties were fun, and I think no one could keep their eyes off your brand spanking new car Michael. RESPECT goes out to you for bringing the car along for the cruise, especially since it had only done 9kms before 4pm today haha..
Hope you see you for another some time, be it Sydney or Melbourne.. stay tuned for pics!

Sounds like you all gonna have fun! Too bad I'm too far away in USA. I have cousins in Melbourne & Perth areas. And I have a Mini S, 2003 EB, modified with a 15% pulley drive and an air intake filter. I belong to some Mini clubs in New England area. The Miniac fever rages all over the world!
