Offline | Availability of towbars in Aus Hi guys, I am looking into fitting a towbar to the MCS to tow a jetski. I don't imagine it would struggle to tow one. I am not keen about the extra weight being added by the towbar so hopefully it will be somewhat easliy removeable. How available are they, and anyone know what they are worth? Cheers Paul |

Offline | I dunno if that's true... the MINI Cabrio that I nearly bought down the coast a while ago had a towbar It was a BMW fitted one Apparently the owner had it fitted as he thought it would be a safety feature...So yeh a bit weird... hehe ![]() |

Offline | Not sure about the current rules in Oz, but my 02 owners manual mentions towbar load ratings for a Cooper BUT also says a towbar can't be fitted to a MCS, which makes sense considering the position of the MCS tailpipes. Dave |

Offline | I was curious how it would work with the tailpipes coming out the centre. I mean, it's not dire... I could put a towbar on the car other car to tow the jetski... probably rather it went near the salty water than the MCS as the 300C has more ground clearance... only problem is, no one makes it for them yet. |

Offline | Not sure of the legality - but something like this would probably do the job (and it is almost invisible when not in use). http://outmotoring.com/mini_cooper_t...d_trailer.html |
